Anything wrong with this light setup?

No man, don't feel like a retard. We all make mistakes. It's how we learn. :)

    Extension Cord Question!

Oops, my bad guys. It's been a while since I played around with this sort of thing. I should have double checked myself before posting a response. Sorry about the confusion. :(

    I was just wondering

I agree. It's not uncommon for pure sativa's to go 14 weeks +. Just keep an eye on the trichomes.

Anything wrong with this light setup?

Don't worry so much about wattage, as efficiency and what will fit in your grow box. Usually 42 watt (actual watts) bulbs are the most efficient, but 23 watters work very well too. Those two bulbs usually throw off the most lumens per watt used.

Anything wrong with this light setup?

Don't use halogen bulbs, they'll throw off heat more than anything. If you are going to grow, do yourself a favor and get the right kind of bulbs. 6500k for veg, 2700k for flowering. Watts don't mean a thing if you use the wrong lights.

    Extension Cord Question!

He meant amps. The longer the cord is, the more it acts like a big resistor. The voltage stays the same, but it hogs up all the amps, thus why they can get hot.

Does the number of fingers per leaf mean anything?

In my experience, it's an indicator of the plants health and vigor. I've had healthy plants that have had 7+ leaves, and unhealthy/sick plants that would grow fewer. The same thing happened years ago, when I would re-veg a flowering plant. It would tend to grow 3 blades per leaf, even just...

    Seed Recommendation Needed

Like already stated, Northern Lights, or a strain that has mostly Northern Lights genetics. Personally I had an easy growing experience with Green House Seeds The Church. Came out really good, with minimal baby sitting. The last 2-3 weeks it really started to smell strong, but I didn't even...

How many watts should I flower with? 250 or 400?

For your current grow, your 250 should be fine. If you plan on more grows in the future I would upgrade to the 400. You will use less electricity and gain more lumens, than from using the 250 +cfl's. I have a 250 watt light, and honestly if I had to do it over again I would have bought a 400...

    Co2 for clones

I've never seen anyone use CO2 for clones or veg, only flowering.

Will be away for 4 weeks - How to sustain Mother?

My suggestion? Don't even deal with it. Wait until you are back from your vacation before setting up a mother plant. Too much can go wrong if you are away for a few days, let alone 4 weeks.

Debating... 1 large CFL or 2 small CFLs

In my opinion, you will need an air intake and exhaust either way you go. I think the two bulbs will generate more heat than one, but it is difficult to tell unless you tested each setup and checked the temps. That being said, I say go with two bulbs. You can get better light distribution...

    Which would u buy?

This. If you are going to spend the money, you might as well spend the money for an HID light that will use about the same amount of electricity, but will give you more (and better quality) light. Cfl's can throw off a lot of heat too.

    12000K cfl light, closet setup

Not on my computer screen. It's all a blur. I can only make out the 7000k picture.

    Seedlings and lighting

For seedlings, I wouldn't bother using the HPS. It's not the ideal light spectrum and it's just going to run up your electric bill needlessly, unless maybe you had a shitload of seedlings. Use a mix of 6500k and 2700k bulbs for your seedling. If you use 2 of each, and they are all 23 watters...

    12000K cfl light, closet setup

Huh, usually they are 6500k not 7000k. But that one should be ok for veg. I don't believe that the "12000k" will work for veg or flower. I've never heard of a cfl bulb emitting light in that high of a range? Are you sure it's a 12000k light temp? 2700k should be the easiest light to find...

    Old Beans

Hmm 66-70 degrees? I think it might be too cold for them. Germinating seeds are like newborn babies, in the sense that they like to be warm and cozy. A few degrees could make a huge difference.

I know nothing about growing with cfl's

Not trying to be smart, but you need to read the sticky's. There's way too much info for us to retype it all for you. :)

    CFL Fixtures...suggestions

No, I don't believe it would be too much. Just make sure whatever fixture you choose is rated at 100 watts PER SOCKET, and not 100 watts for the entire fixture. As far as the cfl's go, I think you are confusing actual watts with equivalent watts. A 23 watt cfl uses 23 watts, but is roughly...

    the 12-1 method: photoperiodic control

I've heard of that light cycling before, but I don't know much about it. I see a couple things wrong with this. For one, it seems like the plants would get about the same amount of light over a given period of time, so I'm not sure what the point is of flipping the lights on and off...
