    DIY with Quantum Boards

After examining the heatsink again, I came to the conclusion that having to cut against the fins makes this a dumb idea and I will leave it be bongsmilie

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Bingo. If I can cut the heat sink I think it would be fine, I do have a file attachment for my drill to sand the edges so they are nice and smooth again. I'm just not sure if the heatsink metal is too thick to cut with a hand saw..

    DIY with Quantum Boards

I currently have a qb260 in a 3x3 and I was just thinking how much more even my light spread could be if I were to cut the heatsink into two pieces, so I could position the boards apart. However, I don't have a good saw, just a band saw. Do you think it would be possible to cut the QB260...

    QB96 Elite V2 w/ SSTX heatsink question

Yes, I saw that too on HLG's site after your first post. I believe you are correct. Didn't realize there was such a difference between 54 and 56v! Already got the A driver ordered, thanks!

    QB96 Elite V2 w/ SSTX heatsink question

Yeah, just a single. I thought that since the driver is rated for 4.45A that at full power I would see roughly 4.45 x 54 = 240W. You're saying that the board won't reach 4.45A due to the 54v voltage cap? Honestly 180W is probably more than enough for what I will use this for, but I was...

    QB96 Elite V2 w/ SSTX heatsink question

I just got my QB96 V2 up and running on my HLG-240H-54B. I hooked it up to my APC UPS, which has an LED to show the wattage draw, and it is only hitting about 180w. Thought maybe there was an issue with my dimmer, so I took that off and it had no impact. I have an inline DC meter ordered to make...
