Is it a thing indoors? Just wondering if anyone does it ? for my veges outside I plant marigolds and herbs to keep insects at bay but what about in my indoor grows does anyone see any merit to sticking the of basil or two in the grow for defense?

Hello people Currently going into winter and was thinking about putting a tomato or two into the veg cabinet it's got a 4 tube t5. Variety is window box miniature cherry just not sure about fruiting would I need to go 12/12? or would it just do it on its own? Thanks in advance stay safe people
