    Cloning help

LOL! I'm lazy like that often. I have taken cuts and put them off to the side of the grow in several glasses of tap water and left them there to flower. One time I grew a well developed hermie seed that way.

    Cloning help

I suppose that is true but I'm not quoting an experienced grower I was quoting a 1st time cloner and trying to help him improve. I don't think you would expect the OP to have an easy time with a large clone that can be cloned almost as fast vs a smaller new growth clone.

    Cloning help

The clones shown in the post I quoted above went straight to soil and the pics below are 15 days after being put directly in soil.

    Cloning help

When I look at your clones it looks like they are woody older growth. Don't know what the plant they came from looks like but I find green stemmed clones shown below root easier than older woody stems.

Beginner Grower from VA. Im nearing end of Week 5

If I was asked by a newb to show pics I would not give them the time of day and would not care if they carried on like they won a challenge. Since I wasn't asked I'll show 2 of hundreds of pics I have from my most recent grow and add Lordhooha knows his shit and need not respond to a silly...

Is it true you don't need to worry about water pH with soil ?

What is the ec or ppm's of your water? Is it hard water with lots of calcium leaving white deposits on your faucets? Mine is 500 ppms with a PH of close to 8 and I find cutting it down to 200 ppms with ro works well.

    Red fan leaf stems

I have a good edu article on purple stems somewhere. It can be cause by a number of things. Stress, Temperature, genetics, and a few other things I can't think of right now. Everybody's different, I use the info when I know the strain. I would never say ignore purple stems as sometimes the...

    Red fan leaf stems

I was in a grow comp with 40+ growers, all of us growing Adub x Animal Cookies. I felt the plant was a Mg whore. The players that showed a Mg deficiency often had purpling stems and a lighter green plant color before showing the most common sign of Mg deficiency, yellowing between the veins. The...

    Need help northern lights feminized

The 1st question the coco growers will need answered is, how often you water? My guess is not enough light and not watering enough for coco. Good Luck!

What's wrong with my plants? Help

1- You learn to read the plant. Ph lockouts look different than legitimate soil deficiencies. Many can tell from experience or trial and error. 2- Learn how to properly do a slurry test. Some here don't like the slurry test, I do. 3- Buy a soil ph pen, they start at $200 for the low end Blue lab...

What's wrong with my plants? Help

I'll put it in layman's terms. Some soil growers never ph their water. They use buffers like lime or oyster shell to raise ph when needed. Others ph their water. Both groups can grow excellent plants. Bottom line is that you will get different answers from different growers.

    Help please,spotted leaves!!!

Get a clear picture of the fuzzy stuff. Hold the camera at different ranges if it is an auto focus to get a clear picture. Even if the picture is taken at a distance a clear picture will help us. Spider mites will create thin webs on plants when infested.

    LED and Calmag issues.

Yeah that looks like Mg. I was in a comp using HPS against a large group of LED growers and we all had the same strain Adub x Animal Cookies and a # of us had Mg issues in early veg. I would say the plants we were growing were Mg whores. The 1st two signs to show up earliest in my opinion were...

What's Going oN with my BaBies

If it was my plant that would be too much fertilizer too soon. Mixing in worm casings is fine but there is no need for the 2-8-4 in veg. 2-8-4 might benefit the plant after it went 2 or 3 weeks into the flowering stage. The 4-4-4 could have been used after the plant got a lot bigger. At the pace...

Still need help with new grow. I just can't figure this out.

The cheap ones go for around $40. My guess on the bottom end of the quality or good PH Pens would be the Blue Lab Soil PH Pen for $185. It can be used to check water PH and soil PH. I'm sure there are others for just testing water that are good for less. I don't PH my water but I do test soil PH...

Adjusting PH to 6.5 is fine if you have the need to PH your water but 5.5 is too low for ffof.

Still need help with new grow. I just can't figure this out.

They are small for 3 1/2 weeks. The 1st thing is usually not enough light. I would guess that you are keeping them too dry. I can see you already lost a few sets of leaves. Plants in the seedling stage and early veg can do well with additional moisture in the soil. Think of it like spring...
