Most of the hype strains are pretty decent in my experience but it all comes down to personal taste at the end of the day I guess. I wouldn't care about what's popular either but I think strains that gain notoriety are a good way to know what's good IME. Hyping isn't always just a marketing...

My favorite right now would be apple fritter from lumpys, hands down was the best strain I ever had for treating depression. Like seriously I never felt a more content high that made me think everything's gonna be alright, each puff tastes like a dessert with doughy apple baked goods notes...

This guy's pheno makes me hopeful, he apparently only popped 4 beans to get this one. I think they'll be gems, all the crosses look fire to me too.
