You would start in a small collar, I place the tails in the slits, not the holes. You then take the big collars you have there, cut a hole shape the same size and just deep enough as the small neoprene puck so as once the seeds have grown tall enough and have a decent root system you can...

Ought to try starting them off just in the neoprene collars.. I have done it before with good result, had them sit in paper towel a bit longer so they had a nice long tail on them then popped them straight into neoprene collars and into the turbo clones.

Rooms coming along.. few more weeks yet I recon.. suppose I had better dial back the lights and co2 a bit soon. I fucked up my ec and made things too strong there for a bit as you can tell by the burnt edges. Don’t think it has upset them too much tho, mild stunting perhaps

Hey CP, was just having a read of this thread.. “ Fungus gnat experiment #569” thought the painters bags were an innovative idea.. think I’ll get some as a preventative measure for mine.. will also stop debris getting into my drain lines and blocking them.. win win

    Do you foliar-feed?

Just dim your light right down when you foliar feed, think cloudy overcast day for rain.. that way the light won’t be magnified through the droplets and burn spots on your leaves.. 1/2 and hour after feeding turn them back up.

Pretty sure you can use whatever, probably cheaper from a gardening centre, just buffer it with some cal/mag before you use it.

Busy day today trying to wrangle the room I had much been ignoring into something useful.. dunno how it’ll go, I’ve been pretty rough and neglectful in there. The other room homeowner is going great!

Yeah man for sure, I wasn’t suggesting you should.. just that if I were to build another setup here I would probably go dwc. Autopilots sound like a great Idea. There is an Aussie bloke called “hoocho” on YouTube who does all sorts of budget systems for his outdoor hydro and he has his own auto...

Yeah everybody loves coco.. I’ve never tried it properly. Clay balls for now but if I could do it over I would probably go back and build a better rdwc system. I would much prefer to have no medium at all if I could manage it, aero is too finicky for my taste.. but rdwc.. aerated, nutrient rich...

    Question Re; Auto’s

Please excuse me if this is a dumb question but I’m old and we didn’t have autos when I started. People tell me they are great and you can run the lights at 18/6 and they eat it up.. well, I’m looking at the comparison between a photo and an auto run side by side for the same amount of time and...

It’s a worry chopping those big stems for sure, hopefully it’s worth it. How are you going with your photoperiod foray? Are you sold yet? I was trying to figure out what advantage growing autos could have yesterday.. I’m curious as to what their DLI during flower is, if you can hit them with...
