not tested the EC & wouldnt know what to do to be honest, this is the first time having a problem i normally add the nutes to tap water & all is good.1st time for mites as well. apparently HESI coco nutes dont need EC testing as there is no EC value or it doesnt show on testers.

you want to lose that tin foil. it wont reflect the light properly. try gey some of the white sheet from a hydroponic shop it will be cheap for your size. if budgets an issue get some white paint in there. doing well though !

thanks for reply, im not sure its to do with the ph though. does the plant suffer afterwards from the mites or recover ok ? the leaf tips seem to be dying off working up to the new growth. i intended to keep spraying the plants with the spider mite control after they have gone just as a precaution.
