The filteration media can be taken out, but its still a closed system and could cause issues.

Thanks for the info. I unfortunately dont have any rooms in my house that I can grow in, they are all inhabited. The space I have is roughly 4' high, so a bunch of mainlined ladies may be too ambitious.
