    Carbon Filter Setup: HELP

ok, so you have 25' of corrigated duct work on the exaust? did you check the specs of the fan to see what the max run is? corrigated duct work creates back pressure on the fan which decreases the CFM (which could help in this case) but if you fall below 100 cfm it wont work as optimal. As...

PC case fan - supposed to be LOUD?

not sure, but if i am playing a game on my PC that is graphics heavy, the fan on the video cards screems. I assume this is because max voltage is being applied to it. If you decrease the voltage on a dc fan, the rpm's go down along with the noise.

    Carbon Filter Setup: HELP

well, that fan is 170 cfm, which is just a tad high for the filter, but i dont see that really being a problem. the reason you feel so little air movement around the filter is the filter has a lot of surface area for the air to pull through wich "dilutes" the amount of pressure you would feel...

    Carbon Filter Setup: HELP

yes, you can feel some air. Please note on the specs for recirc mode you need the can fan 6HO, NOT the standard can fan. If you have the standard one, its set up to exuast. Most peeps i belive would run the exaust through there light hoods and out of the room, killing two birds with one stone...

    Carbon Filter Setup: HELP

no, there are los of ways to set them up. If you are in recirc mode, the fan and the filter are inside the grow room just circulating air in the room. This mode eliminates about 80% of the smell towards the last few weeks. The other method which depresurizes the room, is the fan and filter are...

    Carbon Filter Setup: HELP

If the fan is in recirc mode, you can exceed the cfm rating on the can filter. If you are exausting air out of the room with the can filter, you will need to stay with in the parameters of the can filter specs. The carbon needs time to scrub the air before it leaves the room. I properly set up...

resivor heat issues related to root rot?

Thanks for the replies. I cant wait until i get the chiller next week. My last harvest was steller, right at 7oz/plant. This go round was almost a total failure, with a carbon copy plan from the last harvest. The only thing that is different this time from last is the root temps. Right now im...

do you think i got a good deal on this stuff?

well, how used is the carb filter? they have a life expectency, how old are the bulbs? they have a life expectancy, if you get the ph tester, be sure to calibrate it. Looks like a pretty even trade to me considering you can buy a new 400w set up for about $300. much cheaper used on craigs...

resivor heat issues related to root rot?

Well, its been a while since i have visited RIU. I need some help (again). I had a terrible harvest this last time, somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 oz, (vs 26 oz) off my last harvest. What i have changed is the way i am adding C02. I am using a generator, instead of bottled co2. Here are...

Check out page two for the link to the equipment description. They where grown in a areoponic setup. However, im sure the results are mostly genetic. Thanks for the compliment!

    Time until shes done?

different strains have different times, i usually harvest when the tricomes are getting cloudy (a coddigen 14x loupe is perfect for this). Once they show the first signs of clouding up i would put them on water for one more week and call it good. hth

How important is reflective material on the walls when you have a butt load of light?

I have two can fan 6ho cooling each set of two independently. You can hold your hand on the glass of the reflectors. My last harvest i had them about 10" off the canopy. The problem with that is that the sides of the plants did not get good light, which is why i am adding two more. Now that i am...
