just did a soil test, with a ph test kit i got in the garden centre. im doing an outdoor grow at the edge of a lake. the test result came back as low potash. now i know the soil is supposed to be green ie. ph neutral. so what effect will this have on the plant growing in that type of soil...

what about if i just put compost into the hole were the plant is going to go and then later on when it gets bigger, i just put a handfull of manure on top, or maybe a handfull of bone meal or something like that. what do you think? im getting my seeds next week

thanks for all your replies, i think i will stay away from the miracle grow this time. i couldnt find alot down in the garden centre, so what i got was a big bag of farm yard manure and a big bag of multipurpose compost. will mixing these two together be ok do you think?
