for ur lighting situation it depends- How big's the tent u plan to use andhow many plants? If it's more than 3x3 and it's more like 4x4 then ya u'll want the 600w setup. The hps's are expensive, I thoght they were rediculous when I started, but believe me, they more than pay for themselves in...

Exactly what i was thinkin GF. Without an airstone, the submerged roots will drown indefinately. U must get an air stone fast!

I'd definately go with the hps over the fluros anytime. Fluros work great for veggin, but come time for flowering, nothin beats an hps. Keep in mind, that a 400 watter will only effectively light a 3x3area. Also, look into an air cooled hood, they're like $38 extra from htg, and of corse u gotta...

Totally normal for a plant to show sex at this time even though it's on a 24/7 light schedule. Like dogglet was sayin, those are preflowers, and give away the plants sex without having to force them into flowering. They'll usually show between 4-7 weeks into vegging.

Ya know at first I was like woah! 10days and juice em huh? But at 1/8 strength u'd probly be alright. Myself, I give no nutes till the 3-4 WEEK mark. And if ur nutes say only use em once a month, what are they by the way? .... but given the 'once a month' reccommendations u speak of, I wouldn't...
