    Cheap LED's?

Read the "DIY" and "CXA" and "Vero" threads in the LED section and you'll find lists of components, prices and where to buy them, plus guides to putting something together.

In Greengenes' last YT video update, there is a discount code for the AT600. The code is: ATLGR27 and I think it was for a 20% discount. I don't know if it's still valid or how long for.

    Co2?

No experience at all here, but I thought I'd add that I've read it's important to pay close attention to the fabrication date printed on the bag, because it can have a fraction of that 4-6 months left available to it in some cases if it's been sitting on the shelf for months. This may not be...

Need some Ideas to keep fridge grow 70 at night when lights are out

I've never seen USB heaters before. Interesting product. I imagine you'd want to try and make them water resistant somehow.

Have you seen those soil heating cables?

Need some Ideas to keep fridge grow 70 at night when lights are out

You could keep a thermostatically controlled electric heater fairly near the fridge, but of course that would mean keeping the whole room it's located in at around 70 degrees, not only the fridge. If you have a small spare room or large cupboard, that would be faster and cheaper to heat up...

I think it was Greengenes who posted a discount code for the AT 600 the other day which was worth 20% off = $2000.

Nice! So do you think for those of us not in commercial op's, looking to try different strains, that pure 3000k is the most versatile choice, or would you be inclined to mix in some 4000k to improve performance in vegging?

"Area 51 LED" Information and discussion

This approach sounds like it would offer great versatility in terms of growers with different sized spaces to illuminate. I wonder what it might mean in terms of choosing a light that works great for both veg and flower. From what I've been reading, you guys with COB experience seem to suggest...

so confused - what's a good led for veg only?

There is a veg' specific Advanced LED model, tested by Icemud in another forum and he seemed happy with it. http://advancedledlights.com/3w-led-grow-lights/5w-LED-Grow-Lights-Royal-Blue-CREE-LEDs/

I believe it is this one: http://www.plantphotonics.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=30I I don't know much about the company but I reckon their lights look interesting and quite competitively priced. I'd like to find out more about their build quality and performance. Shipping to the UK...

Yup, I believe they did ship to Europe from HK. Def' worth confirming the cost if unsure, as it may not be more expensive than shipping Mars or Hans panels..

Yes, thank you for taking the time to answer so fully. I'm confused only by your price comparison with the plant photonics fixture (possibly my own fault for not explaining the product I linked to, but I'm not selling or recommending it, it was simply an example I chose due to its use of Osram...

Hi Dan.With respect, I have a genuine question for you. And I hope it will be a chance for you to share some of your USPs if there are any.. Why am I better off spending over USD$1800 for 2 x 100W Osram branded panels than I am paying GBP£800 for these 2 x 140W panels containing Osram Oslon SSL...

My friend, I accept completely your general point, which seems to be (unless I'm mistaken), Jeff has his quirks and you either like it or lump it. That's absolutely fair enough! Of course, every man is entitled to run his own business however he sees fit. Any other observations in your post are...

With a phone number listed, site navigation and/or payment issues can be resolved INSTANTLY! The fact that A51 refuse to publish a phone number is a turn-off for me. Can't state this strongly enough. I've not had any contact with A51 since 2 emails that were answered pretty quickly albeit not...

I think this is such an important point that goes unmentioned most of the time. It seems that LED lights being such expensive pieces of kit (with the potential for huge mark-ups on low quality items) have attracted/exacerbated this practice most notably and it's almost tough to blame a salesman...

    potential yield for 12x12 w/ LED'S?

Maybe it's just me being blind, but I can't see what diodes are used in those Zeal panels. They do show all the other components used on their website, I just cannot find info about the diodes (not even the brand). Do you know the spec's? I'm window shopping at the moment and if these are truly...
