These look more like one of the two varieties of tickseed beetle aka coreopsis beetle. The Japanese beetles I get here are 4 times the size. And a totally different color pattern. These could be juveniles as I have no clue what they look like

It all comes down to my inexperience with autos. I will transplant earlier next round. They all since seem to have recovered and have started there stretch. They will be short but I will finish them out the best I can

This is exactly how I transplanted. I dont think that was my issue as it started before the transplant. I will have to just keep them as healthy as possibly untill harvest and do something different next time.

I started them all in 20z pots. Similar size to a solo cup, which I have seen some pretty nice grows from start to finish in those.
