    LED vs H.I.D

Hortilux Blue really "Shined" as a Veg lamp. Had certain circumstance gone a different direction on a global scale I am sure the conversation would be different at this point. Just a few things I could have seen making a difference in the way tech has shifted - energy prices would have had to...

    LED vs H.I.D

Having used HPS, MH and many LED Products. This is the spectrum I have been most happy with thus far. Beautiful to work under and grows nice chunky / frosty flowers. I have not done lab testing on finished products but the power savings and savings from not buying lamps has won out. This...

    LED vs H.I.D

It goes even deeper than chemical composition. The eye opener for me was the difference in flower structure from the same genetic grown under different light sources. Years ago I was testing a few things and it blew my mind how much more bag appeal HPS flower had over Hortilux Blue. Ya, the mh...

    LED vs H.I.D

I agree with you on paper. But having ran Hortilux Blue vs Super HPS a long while back - the Blue grown flower was gorgeous and truly top shelf in exterior appearance, the hps flower was always way chunkier and for some reason preferred by everyone that smoke the finished product :confused...

    LED vs H.I.D

"However, the penetration depth of HID lights can still offer advantages in certain grow setups, particularly when lighting large areas or deep canopies." Led had been superior for penetration and even ppfd distribution for some time. HPS is all about the infra-red end of the spectrum. Not...

    LED vs H.I.D

The last sentence alone I would say is incorrect. The only area still somewhat debatable is Spectrum. But at this point the trade off's are making that topic a wash :peace:

Back in the Hydro Saddle - OneHitDone Aero-Hydroponics!

Most of what I am running is from clone. The left side of flower pic about is 3 different varieties from seed though. Generally grow them up to the point I can get a nice clone from the top in case I stumble on something that's a keeper and then move them on to flower. :peace:

Back in the Hydro Saddle - OneHitDone Aero-Hydroponics!

Been bouncing around on nutrients a bit. Cutting Edge Solutions 3 part and investigating the Aptus $ Pit currently. I have ran all sorts of things in the past, powder and liquid but I think it is time that I go the make my own formula route. I haven't had a need for anything water treatment...

Back in the Hydro Saddle - OneHitDone Aero-Hydroponics!

Fast forward to 2025. After having built and grown with many different forms of Hydroponic systems and even going the Organic Soil route for a decent amount of time, I come back to hydro armed with a lot more knowledge and clear goals for the system I have now built. It is a hybrid of the...

Back to where my heart truly lies - Hydroponics! I am the type that enjoys all forms of gardening and growing plants of all types but Hydroponics has always had a particular interest to me. Combing plant growth with mechanical tinkering just keeps things interesting. Finally took the plunge and...

Boogy Blue Plus Water Filter ?

That is not an RO system. It is just a carbon filter. Your minerals are not being fully stripped form the water. The recommendations @by2 gave are a good general rule for source water in general ✌
