    The Purple Leaves Mystery

Here is the Pink Napoli for contrast. Some browning on the fan leaf tips, but no purple. Pink Napoli also ended up much taller. The lack of N in the Big Bloom nutrients may be the cause of Pink's yellowing leaves. I think I'll have time for one more Tiger Bloom feed before harvest in 7 days...

    The Purple Leaves Mystery

Yes, I've kept both at the same light-hour stage throughout. In fact, I was planning to harvest this weekend, but the trichomes don't have enough amber for me to be confident. I'm concerned that the temps are triggering lockout.

    The Purple Leaves Mystery

Hello Forum. Novice grower here with a couple of seasons under my belt. I have a late flowering Blue Dream strain that is showing purple leaves. Foxfarm soil in 5 gal fabric pots. Foxfarm Big Bloom for the first 8 weeks of flowering (3/4 strength). Tiger Bloom Extra Strength for the last 2...

    Ready for harvest

I agree with sf frankie. The pics have a shine on the trichomes, so it is tough to see the opacity. Different lighting might help. Full plant looks about ready, but the trichs will tell. Keep it up!

    Ready to harvest??

Good looking plant. Doesn't looks ready. Seems like it needs more time in many of the full-plant images. Some of the trichome pics look more mature than the full-plant pic. Do I see ambering? On the full plant final pic, I see all sorts of white pistils. It looks like they have haven't browned...

    The Twisted Leaf Necrosis Mystery

Yeah, the removable design of the grow tent was key. That initial blasting may have knocked off most of the active mites while the Neem oil dousing immediately afterward suffocated the embedded larva and nymphs. Thanks to @F80M4 I've become an evangelist for Horticultural Oil. It was the...

    The Twisted Leaf Necrosis Mystery

Follow up on the spider mite advice from @F80M4 : I took the advice and, instead of doing a reset, I tried to salvage the plants. I've had some success with the techniques F8 outlined. I treated the grow as a lost cause and learning experience, assuming the Blue Dream and Pink Napoli were dead...

    The Twisted Leaf Necrosis Mystery

Even clones from professional cannabis shops will import pests? I'm inclined to believe my garage grow space has too much outside exposure.

    The Twisted Leaf Necrosis Mystery

Ugh. Thanks for the diagnosis. I just found the telltale webbing. Disappointing? Yes. I even used neem oil as a preventative this grow. Maybe it was too little too late or improperly emulsified. I get the impression that spider mites are bad in CA. Never noticed the issue in my outdoor...

    The Twisted Leaf Necrosis Mystery

Greetings community. I hope everyone is doing well. I have fairly healthy indoor plants still vegging at Week 15, but I have a leaf growth issue on the Blue Dream (shorter on the left in picture one). The main symptom is spotty necrosis and twisting fan leaves. (picture two). New growth is...

    Bud Washing

@NinjaMaster Do you use pure water or a lemon/soda solution for your wash?

    Bud Washing

I agree, @melaninTonic . I wanted to wash this harvest for pest reasons, but strangely fierce debates on other forums got me nervous. I wondered how much damage a rinsing or dunking did to the plant freshly cut down. What kind of loss should we expect? So, I did an experiment this harvest and...

Low Stress Trained Sour D Flowering

Clone grow based on the plant from this thread was successful, though the stems are too weak for the bud growth as can be seen in the pics. Cut down is next week. Trichs are mostly milky with few amber, but the plant wants to be harvested. I plan on a hang dry process in large cardboard box...

    Spider mites

For what it's worth, I've used a household vacuum hose on buds/branches as soon as I see webbing. My indoor grow is in-house, so I examine the plants about every day. This grow has had recurring spider mite infestations (two instances). The first appearance was weeks ago, and the vacuum/wash...

LST to train or not to train photos?

LST to train or not to train photos?

Pan, The plant genetics: Lemon Kush/Sour D. How many branches did I cut away? Over time, I cut off about 8-12 smaller branches. Six became clones, three of which survived. You can see in pic 1 the number of more developed branches I cut away. I did not pull the plant all the way down...

LST to train or not to train photos?

Hi, Pan. I just did my first low stress training (forum link below because in-text link does not seem to be working). https://www.rollitup.org/t/low-stress-trained-sour-d-flowering.985737/#post-14787936 This is my first indoor grow, so I decided to use bend, break and tie techniques only. I...

Low Stress Trained Sour D Flowering

Thanks for the kind comments. One thing that bothered me on this grow was the size the main stalk. I'm used to outdoor gorilla grows where mother nature has her way: tall plants, three-finger thick stalks with no training and one main cola. Indoor winter (Cal) grow seems stunted by contrast...

Low Stress Trained Sour D Flowering

Hi, folks. This is my first indoor grow and my first time using LST. Week five of flowering. I didn't want to overdo the training with this plant, so I only bent the main stalk to allow the lower branches greater light exposure and compete for "top" cola status. I'm pretty happy with the...
