I use a 650 watt Meanwell driver and that fucker gets pretty hot. IDK about HLG lights , but my light almost has to have a clip fan blowing directly on the driver. I don't think it gets hot enough to start a fire or burn anything but without that fan the whole space gets hot. And keeping it cool...

Strain dependent. I've had phenos that show sex 2-3 weeks into veg and some that you can veg for 10 weeks with no pre flowers. Once they go into 12/12 they show sex within the first week usually.
