    Why hydro?

Way less than half? I believe it. I did one bucket run with a mother because I didn't have room elsewhere. When I eventually cut it the roots were six inches thick at the bottom of the bucket. I had to cut the air stone out with a knife. They were clean and beautiful. It was a beast.

    Why hydro?

I did good enough last time to use a quarter pound for kief. Hydroton in a low profile RDWC set up. I have two strains, Girl Scout Cookies and Flo OG, my baby. The height difference is a pain. I have to weigh what I get! I want to say, "I would have spent this much at the medical dispensary"...

    Why hydro?

Why hydro? When I was a kid I read an article on NASA's hydroponic program. Growing food in space and on other planets. The article stated they got 5,000 pounds of tomatoes from one plant. Not sure if it was accurate but it sure made an impression. (I do thing it was true). As an adult, when I...

I had that wrong. Thanks for the reminder. I was at 12" and over 900 par. I think it's 70% on the knob. I turned it down a hair before I fried them beyond help. Thank you.

I bet it is. They have some serious competition now. The new LEDs are nice. I think the one with the removable magnetic bars is sweet.

You are right! Both of them have a lot of knowledge. I have no experience with building lights. That's cool! Is it hard? By the way, funny thing about Mr. Grow it's show. His cat constantly photo bombs him in the background! It's hilarious!

GPS Cackleberry, HLG Scorpion Diablo, Jacks 321

I think the R-Spec is about 15" at 750 on my par meter. I'll check the distance and the knob when they come back on. Even then I am getting some edge leaf burn. The R-Spec is also a powerful light. My last two harvests were successful.

No doubt. I accidentally unplugged my environmental controller for 10 minutes. The humidity went from 50% to 70%. The girls are transpiring like crazy so I know the flow is cranking. But my feeding and nute schedule are waaaay different than anything I've seen here. Lol. I run a low profile...

    HLG 600's and leaf burn

The 650 Diabo is a strong light with a hot spot. I have a room but no height. Six feet. It smoked my plants. In my opinion the square design puts the quantum boards too close. But that violated their recommendations anyway. I got an HLG 650 R-Spec. It is shaped like two capital Es back to...

GPS Cackleberry, HLG Scorpion Diablo, Jacks 321

I have the HLG 650 R-Spec. I have had great results with it. I got the 650 Diablo before that. It's the square one. It has a hot spot if you're not high enough. That thing will smoke your plants. Way too powerful. I have it turned way down for veg.

There was a lot of information in this thread. Recipies and formulas to play with! But did jonny beat the mites and make nice with Jack's? It was a year long show worthy of an award. From the great success to the horrible tragedy, all growers felt his joy and pain. Well jonny? It's been a...

    Modified Jacks 321 schedule

I'm running a modified, low profile DWC with the reservoir in the other room. The only difference is I don't use buckets, I have a large 6" deep tray with holes cut in the lid. My room is 6' tall so I have height issues. My plants hang down into the tray then spread across 42" x 42". It's worked...
