My guess would be a pH issue. I only pH balance hydro. I stopped doing pH for soil a few years ago. My water that comes out of the tap very close to 6.5 or 7ph. I let microbial life take care of balancing my soil. I like @Budzbuddha suggestions. I like to add a tablespoon or so of rolled oats...

I stick to the basics. T bone, lean ground, sirloin and tri tip. I try to cut back on my beef consumption for health purposes. But it's so tasty!!

Chicken's been my go-to lately. The eggs have been pretty expensive so I get them from a farmer here down the road. I eat a lot of boneless, skinless thighs and breasts. Been able to get them around $2 a pound.

I'm sad about the cost of beef.lol I like the fact that there's more for me though. Lately I've been going down to the local butcher here in town. If I buy enough meat it averages out to about $5 a pound.:neutral:
