DOES DIMMING AN LED QB AFFECT THE SPECTRUM IT PRODUCES?

yes but you need to consider the driver gets less efficient Cheers

    LUXX CLONE LEDs SUCK B4LLZ

The point being that it is spectrum and given we understand what 6500 is in T5, no doubt it can be replicated in LED. Yes we are actually running some 2200k strips at present and can certainly build 2200k Skins with 730nm and 400nm uva Cheers

    LUXX CLONE LEDs SUCK B4LLZ

dont see much drill down here on spectrum which is the issue, 9000k is heavy blue, thats a node stacker and completely unsuited to seedling. You need a balance that strikes between light level and spectrum, typically led in 6500k wont be different than T5 6500 and you could get much better CRI...

    HLG 600's and leaf burn

As I mentioned, your meter would seem to indicate your piling on in the hot spotted centres, the centres are already hot and cross talk light is adding to the centre's, there is nothing deficient with those leaves, they are smoked. You could test the issue by dropping some mylar between lights...

    HLG 600's and leaf burn

Given you have a good meter, I would PAR map your entire space, at various heights to understand the net effect of cross talk. The centre intensity is certainly being magnified. My take on the newer HLG products is a gearing toward commercial growers at height, therefore the lower these lights...

    best light for 2x4 ?

so glad someone else is pointing this out. To be clear white phosphor led's, blend, so CCT is the average of what ever is used, Mono chromatics do not blend but have the capacity to shift CCT and CRI of white blends cheers

Like SPYDRx. Is Zhaga Standard Used In Grow Lights? How To Mount This Strip?

If you want to know more you can see the Zhaga Consortium WEB site(https://www.zhagastandard.org/). This refers to strips with the Book 7 standard. We make our standard boards to Book 7 Compliance. The issue you might find is the boards dont have enough led density, more than the efficiency...

    the right far red led?

Cree only make Far Red in the XPE platform, not currently made in XPG. The bin you reference is not the best bin. We stock and sell the XPEBFR-L1-0000-00B01, approx 5 bins better than the part you mention. B01 is the brightest, most eff Far Red available. 3.62 umol/j, we provide on stars...

A DIY LED light using Samsung LH351H-C SMD (3535)

In general a lot of lights today are a compromise of the two. for example our 3ft strips match midpower with high power deep red. It requires more complex design to balance drive, but allows a matching of efficacy and power at an affordable price cheers

A DIY LED light using Samsung LH351H-C SMD (3535)

Its is based on the layout/PCB design. No strip is all in series, typically they are laid for voltage ie 8 leds in S will be say 24v, you would then parallel all those strings up so that the current is then divided by the n(number) of parallel strings. So below is our 98CRI 2 ft strip, it runs...

A DIY LED light using Samsung LH351H-C SMD (3535)

Most leds, for marketing are characterised at 70CRI as this is the most efficient version of the led. The issue is that this is a power led vs midpower, so typically 350ma rating vs 65ma, respectively. That not to say that at 65ma the power led will not match the midpower but in that comparison...

    Hlg-185h-36b

its doable. when hot the strips at 700ma will function around 18v, and they will get hot, so wire up two in series 18x2=36v, and then run out parallel strings. I would build 4 parallel, so total 8 strips, if you were starting from scratch look for better strip/driver match. Cheers Mark

    Lumatek Zeus 600 Pro

cri as such is more a metric for the architect when wanting light to match an illuminant base, its role in grow lights as a metric is not fully recognised, that is to say, CRI reflects an attempt to match 100 which is sunlight. Logically a light source that matches the sun would in fact be...
