    Remote DWC Underground

Day 10 since I flipped on the lights. Since it's looking like this actually might work, I figure I might as well document it and get input from this fine community of cannabis cultivars as I go. This is my first real attempt at growing some bud. I dreamed of growing weed in high school (20...

Ph of 4.6 for 12 hours. Seedlings doomed?

Yep, the pics above were taken when I was far away from the tent. :)

Ph of 4.6 for 12 hours. Seedlings doomed?

Thanks. Yeah, the low ph was user error. The bluelab monitor is great for monitoring EC, PH and res temp. To control PH I'm using a Milwaukee Instruments PH controller hooked up to a solenoid that opens up a slow drip line of PH Down when PH climbs above 5.8. Not shown in the picture in an 20...

Ph of 4.6 for 12 hours. Seedlings doomed?

Yes, I travel for work and can be away up to two weeks. This is my first attempt at growing cannabis - trying to automate as much as I can (PH down control and water top-up) and add other controls that can be initiated over wifi (flushing and refilling the res and adding nutes) Looking better...

Ph of 4.6 for 12 hours. Seedlings doomed?

So the actuator that automatically dispenses ph down into my res got stuck open for way too long, taking my ph down to 4.6 for about 12 hours before I noticed. I just corrected it with some ph up, but I'm wondering if my girls are toast.

One plant with 8 colas or 2 plants with 4?

About to embark on my first ever indoor grow. Auto top up RDWC in a 2x2x4 tent with a 270 watt COB/LED. I was planning to grow one plant with 8 main colas (using the manifolding method). But now I'm wondering if two plants with 4 colas would produce a larger yield in less time. Wondering what...

    Grow Schedule

I was under the impression you get close to locking out P and K at a PH of 6 for hydro. With the normal PH fluctuations, it would drift in and out of the different areas of nutrient availability. Since I'm using automated PH controller, I assume my plants won't benefit from minor PH fluctuations...

    Grow Schedule

Being a planner (and a bit OCD) I'm working on a grow schedule that includes all the stuff I'll need for the next 13 or so weeks. I've put in targets for PH, TDS, Temp (air and solution), and RH for each week. I'll be growing Critical Kush in a 10 gallon DWC setup with the flora trio nutes at...

    Ventilation question

Since ventilation happens as a result of the theromostat/hygrostat telling the exhaust fan to cool/dehumidify the grow area, what happens if the area stays below the set temperature and humidity levels based on environmental factors? I could see this happening when the weather is cooler...

    Grow Tent Planning

I was looking to add a chiller, but man are they pricey. Hoping that burying the res in the ground will keep it cool. Will look into 12/12 for the whole cycle. Didn't know that was a thing.

    Grow Tent Planning

Any benefits to going LST/SCROG over mainlining? I was keen on the idea of having 8 equal length colas all receiving the same amount of nutrients.

    Grow Tent Planning

Hi all - My goal is to create a low-maintenance single-plant grow area in the crawl space under my house. This will be my first attempt at growing, and everything I know about it I've learned in the last two weeks. I've got about $800 to invest in the set up. Please take a look at this diagram I...
