Grape OG x Chocolate Diesel, 1st Seed Grow - Mars Hydro Cup

Day 61 It still amazes me how different these four seeds from the same strain are so different. Things are chugging along. I had been trying to rely on the soil for nutes, but that clearly wasn't working. Things have improved since I started feeding them. Plants 1 and 4 are still much slower...

Grape OG x Chocolate Diesel, 1st Seed Grow - Mars Hydro Cup

Day 48 I've been slacking on keeping the journal updated. My bad. I'm seeing how growing seeds is different than growing clones. My first two runs were all clones, all the plants got the same treatment, watered and fed on the same schedule. These four are all reacting differently. You could...

Grape OG x Chocolate Diesel, 1st Seed Grow - Mars Hydro Cup

Day 36 Transplanted last night into FFOF soil. Added some perlite, no other amendments. Getting the dirt into a 5 gallon fabric pot with a 1.7 gallon plastic pot inside was a pain in the ass. Narrow gap between the two pots. Everything got good and wet. I gave them CalMag again. I also had some...

    Transplanting Question

I just finished transplanting them. It was a pain in the ass getting the dirt in the 5 gal fabric pot while the plastic 1.7 gal pot was inside. Not much room to scoop dirt in between the sides. I got the new pots nice and wet, then moved the plants over, then put a gal of water through each pot...

    Transplanting Question

Thanks, that's what I needed to hear. I watered them on Sunday, so transplanting tonight sounds good. I was worried that watering them again today would lead to problems, but I guess transplanting too dry would be worse. Can you overdo it on the bennies? I don't have any mykos, but I have been...

    Transplanting Question

I know my ladies are ready to move out of these 1.7 gal pots. I've read elsewhere that it's a good idea to transplant them when they are still damp from the last watering, not too dry, to help keep the roots together. It has also been suggested that I get the soil in the new 5 gal pots wet...

    How does my grow look?

    1. Let it dry out all the way. The pot should feel just like it did when you first filled it up with dirt. 2. Yep, overwatering can definitely cause a whole range of problems, including yellowing. 3. Can fluctuations like that cause the stress you're seeing? I guess it's possible, but it's far...

    How does my grow look?

My problems always seem to come from overwatering. You gotta wait until the pots are light. Maybe fill an unused container with your potting mix to use as a comparison. In my limited experience it's better to let them dry out a day too long rather than water them a day too soon. I don't think...

Grape OG x Chocolate Diesel, 1st Seed Grow - Mars Hydro Cup

Day 34 The ladies finally felt light enough to water yesterday. I gave them a bit of CalMag this time. I also hit them with Recharge again. I pulled off several fan leaves and started tying branches down. Since the last update I have also done more topping. #4 is the only one that still has not...

Same here. I'm running a Mars Hydro light in a Vivosun tent with the AC Infinity fan/filter combo Blunt mentioned. Love 'em.

    Mars hydro complete kit?

My TS3000 uses Epistar chips and Mean Well drivers. Epistar may not be Samsung, but it isn't trash. Nothing anything against the other brands, but Mars Hydro makes good stuff.

This is low humidity damage, right?

I always aim for 6.5, sometimes lower, but never higher than 6.6. I'll try to not lower it as much next time. This is my third grow. I think I'm learning, but I do tend to water too early. They were transplanted into these pots 12 days ago. On transplant day they got a lot of water. I...

This is low humidity damage, right?

Cool mist. I am using led. The temp right now with the light on is 77. It . That's with two walmart, bedroom-type humidifiers running on high. I do have the exhaust fan set at 70% (temp was staying at 80 until the last day or two). Lowering that should make it warmer. How warm should it be? I...

This is low humidity damage, right?

Overcomplicating things is the story of my life. I'm taking your advice. I just watered them today, so it will probably be 6 days before they're thirsty again. I'll try the spray. First time for everything

This is low humidity damage, right?

Thanks for the replies. My water is always 6.3 - 6.6 when I give it to them according to my ph pen. I'll re-calibrate my pen. Is there a chance my tester is off somehow? It reads the calibration solutions correctly. This is the kit I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077Z6LF91

Grape OG x Chocolate Diesel, 1st Seed Grow - Mars Hydro Cup

Day 26 part 2 A friend with loads of experience came by today. We decided to remove most of the large leaves. It really opened up the lower nodes. Plants 2 and 3 were topped a few days ago. We went ahead and FIMd plants 1 and 4. It will interesting to see the differences. #1 #2 #3 #4

This is low humidity damage, right?

Is that because of the leaf stems? Another user in the Useful Seeds thread says that happens with this strain. One guy isn't proof, though. I'll add a little Epsom salt to the next watering.
