hiya mate. forgot to add if you do do intakes and are worried about mold, you could use some filters (of some description). i would always recommend having passive intakes but make sure they are light proofed if needed.
cheers gypsy. your a star, as ever. the pots i was looking at, aren't infact net pots after double checking. i just assumed they were :dunce:. what do you reckon to 100x100x100mm (4") for pots?
the starter cubes come in small or large, with large being 1".
i've got my eye on a 500 lph pump. i could go down to 320, that's the smallest i've seen.
save me reading why no net pots? i will of course be covering the the tray to stop light like you have.
tbh - to be honest.
ancillaries - the extra components. just like you mention below. what do you recommend on the water pump i.e. capacity.
no i haven't bought them yet.
i did see the ani yes. did you make it? i understand now, from what you wrote, re how the flood/drain works. how does...
i guess it would depend on the strain. you may be best flowering at around 10" to ensure you don't run out of space. all that i've read say's they will double or triple in size. my own experience is they triple in size.
also on the link to the ebb/flow construction...
which is the inlet and which is the outlet? does the tray hold solution or does it drain it all out. i am assuming that it holds solution which is then topped up with fresh aerated solution. if so, how do you empty the tray when changing the...
don't put yourself down bro, your not a dunce .
anyway... i can get some 13x13x13cm square net pots. so i could go 3 deep and 4 wide. woot 12 plants.
if you was unsure what i meant by ancillaries, i meant the flood/drain components.
glass for the hood is a no tbh. i was thinking with the tubs, the larger in height would go on the bottom. i'm just stepping back to the ebb/flow construction pictures you posted to check on the ancillaries.
it's a funky little unit but you would be better off diying a dwc/bubbler tub. they are fine for vegging and cloning (assuming you don't get stem rot, i was lucky with my first grow using one, but have had stem rot doing clones.) but you will need a lot of extra lighting for flowering.
check...
20 and 32l respectively. i presume that's an A and/or B. i'd rather go with B'ish but i can mod the hood further to increase air throughput and at worst get a bigger exhaust.
