I do not eat meat ( chicken ,pork ,cow, sheep, rabbits, elgs ,deers,etc...) Still I do eat fish, urchin, octopus, squid and plenty more weird sea animals .. I'm not a vegetarian ,am I ? :P Cheers :peace:

DUET 2400 (LED FIXTURE) - UP TO 2400 WATTS (Flip Chip Opto)

Most probably ,it will do . People ,seem to forget ,that aside from the photosynthetic value of 660 nm red , it has a great photomorphogenic and a very profound circadian effect too . Supplying the whole 600-700 nm red band , is way better than any combo of monochromatic red leds... Let alone...

DUET 2400 (LED FIXTURE) - UP TO 2400 WATTS (Flip Chip Opto)

This type of COB (Duet 2400 ) if driven at spec ( 6A ) or more , it belongs to greenhouse horticulture and only there ... It should be hanged at least 4-5 meters ( 12'- 14' ) above leaf canopies... I bet my right testicle (the "good" one :P ) ,that if a grower hangs that in a grow tent or...

DUET 2400 (LED FIXTURE) - UP TO 2400 WATTS (Flip Chip Opto)

I just hope that those guys at the flip Chip Opto ,can grasp things ,more easily ,than some others ... Currently ,they have made a nice supplemental lighting for a PC LED COB 3000 K or 4000 K main light . Still , that is far from a dedicated LED COB for growing plants .... 5700 K 70Ra +...

Seems really a very good option ... 3000°K 90Ra ... Hm.. Surely it wortrhs some testing ... Especially when those COBs have such a good efficiency ,by now ... Great idea ,alesh ...

DUET 2400 (LED FIXTURE) - UP TO 2400 WATTS (Flip Chip Opto)

If you don't know what carotenoids are, they basically protect your plant of excess energy =light (in very simple terms). Photo-quenching pigments ... (...)Carotenoids serve two key roles in plants and algae: they absorb light energy for use in photosynthesis, and they protect chlorophyll from...

DUET 2400 (LED FIXTURE) - UP TO 2400 WATTS (Flip Chip Opto)

Well ,seems to me some folks ,have trouble " digesting " / grasping some stuff ... ..... 1) McCree 1972. Relative quantum Efficiency . "Blue broad band 400-499 nm " : Highest RQE of the band is at 424 nm - 434 nm , with a value of 0.76 ( 450 nm has RQE of 0.75 ) "Green band 500-550 nm...

    Old news for potheads ...

I think it was brother @FranJan who mentioned them first ... Sharp Zenigata ,Tiger series .... 2700°K 93Ra + 5700°K 87Ra in one COB ,two channels. A tad expensive ,not super efficient but it will do fine as "supplementing " some controlable bands to a 3000K or a 4000K main lighting .... An...

    FLIP CHIP OPTO LUNA 300!!!

Hey Alex ... Would not be better if each section had 15 rows of 12 diodes , instead of 12 rows x 15 diodes ? Then at 6A Vf would have been close to 36,87 V and each diode will be driven at 400mA (instead of 500 mA ) ... That should gain some efficiency ... Once again ... The use of 640 nm or...

    FLIP CHIP OPTO LUNA 300!!!

    The spec sheet of the Duet 2400 needs ..reworking ... Digitized the graph with the blue section emission ,from 400 to 600 nm = x range . ( max Y value line = 6E+5 uW/nm = 600 000 uW/nm =600 mW / nm ) .... Then y data obtained ,passed on a spreadsheet ... Total output 400-600 nm power = 12,68...

    FLIP CHIP OPTO LUNA 300!!!

And probably there are few mistakes ,too... For the red phosphor part .. If that graph was done while : Vf=46,1 V , If = 6A ,per each red channel ... Then at the graph the figures at the y axe ( uW/nm ) are missing one zero.. It should be 900000 uW/nm and not 90000 . If that is the case then...

Far-red light. The recent availability of far-red (FR, 700-800 nm) LEDs presents opportunities to control plant functions in SSL related to photoperiodism and photomorphogenesis involving the phytochrome pigment system. Plant species with a long-day requirement for flowering are hastened to...
