I’d jump on it quick & treat immediately or they’ll be toast in a week or less. I use Hydrogaurd, but that’s for preventative measure only. You need to wash as mush slime off as possible, sterilize your system & then treat roots with fungicide or h2o2. I would also start to trim those dead roots...

My guess is...at 4 weeks in veg & 8 weeks in flower, you’ll max out at under a 1/2 lb per plant (dry-weight) with your current setup...and that’s under perfect conditions with no setbacks. That means you’ll need to harvest at least 1 plant per week to get 2 lbs per month. And to keep up with...

If the roots are already growing out the bottom, I wouldn’t mess with it and risk damaging your roots. Just spray the mist your rapid rooters a few times a day to keep moist for another week or so and you should be fine.

My air pumps are not that loud, plus the noise is drowned out in my grow room by numerous fans, waterfalls & a portable A/C unit. My grow room is by no means quite, but it’s fortunately in a large store room in my basement.

And you guys are right...I do deal with pH drifting upward regularly as a consequence, so I start the week at 5.5 & when it gets to 6.1, I add pH down. I also keep the external reservoir that auto-feeds my RDWC at or below 5.5 to help fight the battle perpetually.

I have a very similar set up with spray heads & stones. I went with this approach because I travel often for work, so if one method fails while I’m gone, the other should hopefully sustain my crop.

I also use hydrogaurd. My RDWC is auto-filled by an external 25 gal reservoir that is also treated with hydrogaurd & a small water pump for circulation & fluming. I typically do complete water exchanges every 2 weeks, but I’d rather do partial exchanges as you described. I think I’ll give that a...
