You dont flush and you feed weak mate. If you feed too strong you will get build ups but just don't do that and all is well. Learn to feed by looking for deficits. Keep them just over the hungry line and they grow like the clappers.

The reason the dry spell is bad mate is because when coco dries out, so do the nutes. They turn back into salts and build up in the pot. Makes it possible to fry a pretty large plant with a seedling strength dose of nutes. Buggers the ph up and makes it look like there's all sorts of deficits...
