Problem with portable ac units is they produce their own heat causing their btu rating to be diminished. They also need to exaust somewhere... it would be best if you could cool the "lung" room, or the room it's pulling from. Like the previous comment stated. Exaust the air into a different room with a carbon filter so your not trying to cool the heated exaust.
