Its budget friendly and you can easily get the buckets from shopee or lazada.

Ah, I thought of doing space buckets but it seemed way beyond my capabilities, even more complicated than a DWC imo.

Just started germinating today on paper towels, tap root is showing. Can't wait to pot her.

Hey man, was wondering what potting soil you used for your initial grows? I managed to germinate two seeds on a paper towel perfectly fine but when I transfer to soil they seem to damp off and die. I used a serbajadi mix that has coco fibre, peat moss, perlite, and compost. Maybe I'm overwatering? Not really sure what I'm doing wrong.

Sorry to hear that man. Some growers like to transfer the germinated seeds directly into the final pot. But I prefer to let the plant establish its roots first by using a small party cup. Also this makes it easier for you to water and not over water it. What pot size are you planning to grow in man?

1 gallon fabric pot. I'm thinking of getting a soil that's free from pathogens from the get go. I tried planting my second germinated seed in a yogurt pot with potting soil (also from serbajadi and hydrogen peroxide/water mix but ended up with even worse results, seed just died without even breaking the surface. I see this serbajadi biochar brand but there is 1 and 2 and I'm not sure what the difference is.

1. What do you mean by seeds dying? Do you mean that the seeds germinated successfully but the seedling died?

2. The only way that you can grow pathogen free is by hydro, and even that, they found in a study that the nutrient reservoir is full of microorganisms. When growing in soil, you actually want bacteria to be present in soil. Beneficial bacteria. You want the soil normal flora to be full of beneficial bacteria. So no such thing as growing in soil pathogen free.

3. The only benefit of adding H2O2 to soil is to provide oxygen to the roots. Not to kill off pathogens. Plus its not really necessary in your case as you are using fabric pot. Fabric pot is awesome enough to provide plenty of O2 to the roots and it helps in root pruning.

4. I think I used biochar 2 if I'm not mistaken. I cant remember the difference.

OK man. Lets start from the beginning. You gotta germinate the seeds first. The easiest way is by paper towel. Works every time for me. Check out few youtube vids to help get an idea. After the seeds have popped and you can see the roots sprouting, remove it from the paper towel and place it in a small party cup filled with the soil that you have chosen.

Dont place it too deep. About 5mm from the top. and dont pack the soil once you have placed the seed. After that you can start watering with pH adjusted water. Just around the seedling and not too much.

Before I started my first grow, I watched a bunch of youtube videos to get an idea of how to do this right. Check out the following channels. They were extremely helpful for my first grow:

From seed to stoned
Weed in A pot
Beginner Buds
Bill Ward
Chef Derek Butt
Everest Fernandez

If you really dont have the time, you can just check out From Seed To Stoned or Beginner Budz. Both channels are fantastic and tremendous amount of info for beginners.
