  • Thanks for the quick reply:) I can't wait to try out your lights! I will need to use hid lighting for the first round due to lack of money, but I will definitely order some within a few months
I also see they are 3000k which is great for flowering but I have always used a higher kelvin rating for veg so I just wanted to make sure these will veg with nice and tight node spacing. Lastly how's the canopy penetration with these? I will be going with a scrog so plants won't be any taller than around 3 feet. Thanks for your time:)

Any Kelvin does a good job in veg. The 90CRI cobs cause more stretch but the 3000Ks I will be using are 80CRI. Penetration is mostly dependent on light intensity (PPFD) My recommendations are based on a 800-1000 range which is going to provide really nice penetration.
Hey how's it going man? I just have a couple of questions about your lights. I will be starting a new grow from scratch and have heard nothing but great things about your lights, I was also considering going with Johnson lights but I see they use older cobs so I will be dealing with you. First question is how many of the t4-2100 would you recommend in a 6x6 room for the best results?
    Rahz
    Rahz
4 of them in a 6x6, the new version will be 725 PPF, so PPFD for 4 in a 6x6 would be about 860.
The more I look at your work, the more I like it. I would like to know what would be a good light setup for 3 plants in a 4x4 enclosure. I don't plan to grow big just a couple of oz of quality bud per plant will be enough. I will LST all the plant to.

At first I was thinking 3 T1-2100. Glad a simpler, less expensive setup will do the job. Thanks a lot.

I have retekinded over the night and take some more mesurment. The enclosure will be 3x5. I think will better for a long light.

Highly recommend it, Mulot. I like the idea of the T1s being separately driven at the higher amperage. Blown away by the power and efficiency of my T1, and it's well-made. I will probably be ordering a second one Friday.
Hey Rahz if your bothered or annoyed by any of my questions and commentary just let me know and I'll leave you alone. Kids tired of the "bc I said so" answers from others.

I hope in your situation you chase as many of the design details for a hortculture light as you can.
Hey Rahz. I have a 2x2x4.5 ft grow tent and looking to add an LED. I'm interested in your T2-2100. I've also looked at an Advanced Platinum P300 300W 12 band LED for a similar price. Can you sell me on yours being the superior light? Looking to buy in the next day or two. Thanks for any help/wisdom.

email I received not long ago. "Hey bud im just finishing up a grow that I had a t4 1750 vs a platinum led p600 (100+ more watts)
The t4 handled her own very well if not better and healthier. Ive got the p600 sold and im looking to buy 2 more T4's but 2100 series."

COBs are way more efficient than legacy-type LEDs. They were originally designed to replace HPS in highbay warehouse applications. And I'm pushing trichomes on 2-3 day old seedlings with a T1-2100.
Thanks Rahz, I Just ordered! I look forward to trying this light out!

Hi Hashpuppy, just put 6 on the website this morning.
Hi Rahz, I was just checking in with you regarding the T-4 2100 I had inquired about on the 3rd. Are you still on schedule? I am eager to get one of these up and running lol. Thanks again and have a great night!

Hi Rahz, I called the number on your website earlier today. When do you expect to have a T4-2100 available? I am very interested in your lights and am curious on how big of a difference is there between the 2100 and T-4 1750 regarding production on my plants. I have been an HID guy the past 16 years and this will be my first led for a 2x4 tent. Thanks again and have a great day!

Hi hashpuppy, I'm sorry I missed your call. I'm working on a batch of lamps now, T4-2100s available in about 2 weeks. The T4-2100 will provide about 920 PPFD in a 2x4', T4-1750 about 820 PPFD but has lenses rather than reflectors. They would both work well but the 2100 is obviously a better choice.
Hey Rahz, I have a 3x3 tent and planning on running 3590's. How my cobs do you think would be sufficient for this square ft. I was thinking 6 but don't know if thats overkill. I do want to be able to manage the heat well, with minimal bleaching.
    Thank you sir.

Hey Rahz, so I'm going with the HLG-320H-C1400B Driver. Will that be able to handle 100w Cobs or just 50? Thanks for the help.
    Rahz
    Rahz
It's 1.4 amps, so if the cobs are 36v 36x1.4 = 50 watts. CXBs come in 36 and 72v variants. You could use 72v cobs,3 instead of 6 but you loose efficiency when you drive them that hard.

Rahz, Hey i just wanted to thank you again for all your help. I put my order in today for my cobs and driver. I am super excited to put it all together. I can't believe a month ago I was looking for the right HPS now I'm got this fun project to work on. Have a good weekend!

Yes please use the website if you can. I have used paypal in the past but they charge a good bit more than the CC gateway I use.

I started out with lenses but have switched because lenses absorb 4-5% of the light. Reflectors absorb a similar amount but only affect about 10% of the output, so total transmittance is around 98-99%.
Hello Rahz, I have a 4x4 with a p600 covering half the footprint (2x4). I was wondering which model would cover the other half of footprint, or replacing the p600 and covering the whole 4x4? Thanks
    Rahz
    Rahz
Hi Mr LoUD, The T4-2100 covers a 2x4 area. The lamps are modular, not designed for a single to cover a 4x4 area. If you decide to try one and run it beside the P600 I would be interested to know how it works out. Thanks for the interest.
Hello Rahz, I was wondering the differences between using fixtures with reflectors vs lens, what's best suited for grow tents, for example i plan to transition two 3x3 grow tents strictly for flower, A 4x2 and a 3x2 for veg. curious whats better for my situations. Never hurts to ask!
    Rahz

I (and most) are moving away from lenses. Reflectors and/or reflective tent walls is the way to go. A plus for reflectors is that they can be replaced much easier than the tent down the road, and they are easier to clean than a tent, so it's usually better to have then than not.

Thank You, I plan on slowly switch over to led all together and as of now your products are hands down the most customizable for my needs!
HI Rahz, I am currently running a 2x4 tent with a single plant scrog. I have 2 Area 51 RW75's, and I was wondering what the recommended height on the t1-2100 was? Just trying to figure out if they are different enough to cause any issues running them together. I would think not, but thought I should ask before pulling the trigger. Thanks

    Hi Wswise,

They're best around 14 inches, will give a good 2 foot spread for that height. I just noticed a T1 purchase, guessing it's you. Thank you. I suspect they will work fine with the A51s.

Hi Rahz......I was wondering what drivers you use for the T2-1750/2100 series lights?
Hi rahz. I posted in the LED section about a recommendation for a LED and was told to check you out. My area is a Secret Jardin DS60 (2x2x5) and I'm looking to grow two or three plants. This would be from seedling to the end. Which one of your systems would you recommend for maximum yeild.
hey i need 4 lights to cover (2) m2 grow tents i was looking at the t3 1750 but you only have 2 in stock. anyway i want to buy 4 in one shot so i can get a possible deal. when can will you have more of these units available?
im also ready to buy, heard nothing but good things about you
