Been awhile - One plant 2x2 Quickie - HSC Jelly Rancher / Hella Jelly

MIGHTY FINE nuggets ya got there! I've been curious of trying below canopy lighting as well; just makes sense. And we do tend to build our own jungle in these tents once all the scrogs and wires get everywhere hahaha so setting up the lights before hand sounds about right! Nice work growmie! looking forward to the harvest, dry, cure details!

Thanks big nuggie , yeah the under canopy lights seem to actually do more than anticipated. Noticed the popcorn/under canopy buds are much more advanced in flower where those lights are hitting. I’m thinking about building some sort of sliding side led bars that can raise/lower/angle. As for this harvest , Im just going to take it day by day. I’m still thinking something is up with the PH or roots. She’s in an oversized 3gal , doing 5gal next round for sure. Might just be the pheno but she really purpled up in a matter of days , fingers crossed :eyesmoke::peace:

Flower day 46 (first pistols =1)
Ran a flush yesterday @6.4ph no nutes 200ppm - runoff came back at 6.7-6.8 , little high but ok. So it’s either lack of P/K / roots / genetics.
Removed the top scrog net and defoliated a bit and let her spread them legs out :lol: prob going another week or so , also bumped up the uvb/a to 3.5hrs per 12. Top bars still 160w with reds. VPD has been 1.3 to 1.5

Flower day 49-50
I’m thinking tonight will be the last water then chop end of week. Keeping the lights on w/ uvb full 12hr the next 2-3 days then I’m going to try 24-36 hr darkness before chopping. This bean was definitely different from previous, finished early and went purple. Terps are the same (blueberry fundip & skunky) , super sticky icky. :bigjoint:IMG_0513.jpeg
 
Nice growmie! Purpling bear end of flower can be genetic, or K(potash) deficiency. I have always treaded on the lighter side of nutes - half or 3/4th recommended dosages, but near week 7 after the cal/mag hunger kick, I'm not shy with potassium. I have a 0-31-34 top dress powder just for those last few weeks.

Thanks for the advice! I’ve been wondering wtf is going on and figured it was genetic. Ive had a bag of phosphorus in my cart for awhile, guess I should have bought it , def will now. Thanks !bongsmilie
 
Pretty much ready for chop , most likely Saturday making it 55-56 days since first pistols. Last 3 waterings have had little to zero nutrients except for some molasses. Dropped the wattage on top bars to 100w , sides still on with uvb full 12 & tonight being the last cycle. Then 24-36 hr of dark and snip on Saturday. Prob will split the plant down the first topping line and have two half’s for drying :weed:IMG_0540.jpeg
 
Went 28 hours in darkness- 75*/50% , chopped in half this afternoon and back in the tent. Got the temp and rh to 66* / 57% after a couple hours. It’s been warm in my location, hoping tonight it will drop down closer to 60* and then I can lock in the environment a bit better… aiming for that 60/60 but realistically it’s looking like it’s going to be 65*/55%. Blueberry candy / skunk terps.

Messing around while waiting on buds to dry… 3 Samsung L09’s (60w max each) 3.5k , 2 growdaddy / Samsung (48w max each) 4k and 8 cree’s 660nm / 740nm / IR (late veg/flower). Reds run all together at 2w each , may switch out driver for more wattage. Plan is more lights at less wattage , tried it before in a 2x4 and it was tits. Also have (4)10-20w bars for the tent poles- 3k (side lighting) .
— Buds day two drying @ 61-65*/55-58% . POS carbon filter no longer works , room smells of dank (melonfarm) Amazon junk … went through 2 filters just this single plant grow , don’t buy … or buy and return before 30.
—I’ve got two viparspectra xs2000’s in boxes , NO drivers … anyone interested? They can handle up to 250w each , only used one cycle 75hours. Looking for some new beans for trade . Particularly ak47 or any 90’s gas/skunk strains . Cheers :joint:

here's an interesting bit on drying/curing. This guy who is behind cannatrol - company that sells a $1500+ drying/curing machine. Their science found dew point is the best way to measure this. Their machine has phenomenal reviews, but she's pricey. I've never been able to hit 60/60 myself. always somewhere in the range of 45%-60% rh in my brown bags and then into jars, temps range from 62-70.

^its fun to input 54 for dew point and then whether temp or RH is easier for you to adjust you can play with it. like a room temp of 70 degrees would need about 57% humidity. If you have a high rh of say 70, you would want a room temp of 64. Its a different take than the common bro knowledge, but I trust it lol

Nice breakdown from that guy .. Iv’e never really heard of this, so he’s saying you can basically dry, cure and store in a tent just like in jars if the dew point is 54*?! Im going to have to look into more of their stuff . I’m currently sitting at 67/57.5 and my govee app has dew temp that I never knew existed :blsmoke: thanks for the chart & info ! Last night / morning was closer to 60/60 but the dew says 45-47 ?
