Im not am expert at grafting. It just takes some practice. Make sure all your tools are sterile and good luck

New tent for hunting new strains. Went on a bean shopping spree but this time with some homework so its exciting this time. Heres my bean stash right now. I got amherst sour d on the way too.

Rest of beans. Upgraded the whole flower room with boxfans and bar lights. 3 clones watermelon ultra 2 wks complete here. At the moment almost 3 wks complete. Lots of updates since site was down. Learned a lot. I added my second dehuey in the flower room and its helping lower rh a lot.

I really didnt want to push it this hard but I under estimated the size clones somehow. I got 1oz from that clone earlier and didnt want that which is 4wks veg in a winter cold season. If I make it Id learn my boundries and yield many weeds.

So Il have 12 plants so the test tent will be revegging from harvest, havent done that before. Will need to keep cuts in the fridge for 8 weeks. I was going to test it now but only got 5 days before I decided to plant them.

They were in wallaby bags nothing more just cut and seal with minimal air. They looked crispy as hell so I have high hopes it will work. Thats two ways I can mother a test plant in test tent. Oh 3 ways because I will be grafting as much as I can while I can.

Starting to step into the advanced grow realm of things. So far the fridge cuts look fine. Google is saying yes and no that season could impact rooting of cuts. Not cannabis specific, just what ever could get it to do some of the searching for me.

So my latest cuts are 3 wks old no roots so Im nervous like never before. I dont think I cloned during winter since I had a method on lock. The longest it took was 2.5 wks and I suspect due to copper spray for pm IPM.

Maybe the copper wasnt it but they yellowed in a week vs only right before rooting so I still think so. They only yellow hard if it didnt root when it was supposed to but still see signs of knuckling up before the strike.

Any insight let me know, will say its 10F cooler and 20rh dryer due to winter. Plugging most of this into google was saying both yes and no. I dont always answer my qs that way but yea. I had to inlcude propegation dome and mat to get it to understand. I know one around here said yes.

Feeding 12x a day seems crazy I even had a trashbag wrapped around the pots. I had to undo one which was easy should be routenely if needed.. Its not leaving any drops of water on hands when touching/squeezing. If it was too soon it would leave puddles or drips whatever youd call it, on hands.

The trashbag has condensation on it was worried about mold but so far its perfectly fine. I had plants with exposed pots need just 8x a day less rooted smaller plants. So theres correlation if its large enough, vegged/rooted enough it will suck through it.

Its only like that for 20mins maybe give or take. So its on time the clones shouldnt show any damage other than wind burn a little. Trash bag isnt really needed anymore but just testing it out.

Huh I guess it was just the clone that had water stuck in the bag. I saw a bulge of water panicked a little I still dont know how it happened. All are fine but that one I ran the drip and it has a little dripping from bottom of tray its weird.

I thought the water was wicking from pot to bag but no. The rest are dry just a few drops around it literally just 2 or 3. I bet its helping not need to go beyond 12x a day.

Can these dry windy conditions accelerate water uptake as the leafs ever constantly lose water from wind and dryness? I was at 4x a day before but those conditions caused mold.

Its two trays connected the left one leaked into bag but the right one was fine and so is another single clone. I thought it was the panty hose tied to pvc drip but why only one side leak into bag?

The water is clean in drip tray but ought to cut pvc so it doesnt sit in the water that gunks end of flower. Maybe use a 120u press bag. Or just remove it and use the bags to help dryback, just wont be double bug proofed.

Hair cut. Shave. 3 wks complete this Monday.

Some comparison same pheno different performance. The lighter one is just bonkers but the darker one is buttering and softening. Its great but not amazing but Ill take it. It reminds me of a live resin I had, black and vapes faster. It has this sedating effect not super potent.

It can get me there but yea. I had the lighter one after a while of this and was noticing its amazing on every level. This the first time its done this since hand trimming but hoping it mostly is like the lighter ones. Its why Im seperating rosins by plant now on.

The one Im on now. Its sugary and caramel like texture. Just took a fat dab. Its just very medicinal rather than a real banger for turning up. Getting rid of it first saving my best which Il be dabbing anyway soon. While I wait for this load to come in.

If its new and testing I just do one at 180F, one at 200f and one at 220F. It can be mix match in results in terms of taste, potency and yield. This one does best at 220F but this clone just came out less dank and incredibly dark.

Still learning myself but Ive concluded its just that clone out of 5 clones hand trimmed that was less dank. Its the lowest yield so far to from 20% to 16.26%. Looks is last and so happen to looked great till now but its not garbage cant stress enough.

Theres nothing I could of done to improve it and wouldnt try to put looks first. I bet it still would of been dark which isnt bad, live resins and cured resins have came out like that from the store. Quality is good around me too from the store.

The yield from this pheno at 180f is like 7%. Idk if I ever done 200f but it clearly was yielding maximum at 220f and the taste, looks where pretty good. Everything is good at 220f this pheno. Its why its so special to me. Not stretching it out for yield over the rest, it really does check all boxes.

I know Il have it again its just a performance thing and so far its 1/5 plants. One of those times its been dark but still very goopy and taste/potency yield being real good. The low temp wasnt any better taste etc infact its less good. Probably would still been dark.

Full house. So I took two cuts put in fridge 5 days then cut the bottom at a node and plant in rootriot etc the dome.. Day 7 one is rooted already. They where 2 wks in flower. So maybe its true the built up hormones makes it root faster.

So high hopes for the fridge cuts method. Going to test 8wks soon as I have some cuts to test out. 5 clones for flower 1 clone for mother for 3x3 for grafting soon as thats old enough. Will practice on the same strain for now.

The two yellow cuts one rooted after 3 wks the other might take 4. Il keep it as a test as maybe I dont have 100% success rate anymore or just this time. Il say I didnt cut it at the node just seeing if I ever had to. I guess I did. Or coincidence.

The other fridge cut too. Gonna ride them out unless I need to clean and reuse and toss and just suck up that I dont have 100% rates always. Maybe due to winter is all I can think of. Or they will root and Il be happy even though it took 4 wks.

So these just test now I dont need anymore clones.

Just a note too, the clones I have in flower are showing a pattern of low rh lights on. Then an hour or two before lights out it spikes in tent and hygrometers on top of dehuey. I dont think its the dehuey I think its the plants.

Used to see spikes at lights out which many people see that but I didnt anymore. The spike before lights out is now though and then the tent and dehuey will drop from 35rh to 29rh.
