No complaints here using the 1" kind! Although, I'm only using them for "smaller" lights in my 2x4 and 3x3. If it's gonna be for a single 5x5 light, then i'd probably get the wider 1.5" straps just to be safe.
$30 on Amazon for the PH60-E probe replacement used for measuring solutions. The flat one is used more for surface pH, like for skin, paper, fabric, etc.
Apera PH60. Used it for the past 3 years and just replaced the probe few months ago and works like new again. Probes supposedly lasts 1-2 years per Apera but I got 3 years out of it before needing to replace.
