After the first week do not stir. Leave the microbes alone to do their thing. Just make sure it doesnt dry out

Can this be added to the top of the soil in plants already going and watered in? Or is it a waste and should i just add it in my next go around. Also Will this effect my soil pH? I hear cottonseed meal has a lot of benefits during veg .
