One thing that has worked for me in the past is propping up a bunch of personal shit such as bikes, surfboards, storage containers, chairs, etc. around my tent/room to obscure it and make it appear as one big uninteresting pile of crap.
Ph doesn't work that way, it's not simply added up like that. In the absence of a ph tester for your nutrients I'd say that if your nutes are between 6.0-7.0 and your soil is at 6.0- 7.0 then you're fine.
If this becomes an issue there are several ph stabilizers on the market.
This one comes to mind...

I have bred several feminized strains mated to regular males, with no hermies going on 3 generations down the line, not even one. In fact these have been some of the best strains I've created. I can't speak for selfing though I only breed with a regular male that I like.

Usually you'll see a dying leaf, or leaves. It'll be localized, it stands out.
The only way to know is to look, just bend the bud carefully and get a peek of the main stem and the inner side of the buds, this is where mold typically starts.
You want to view the trics that are on the bud, not leaf. Look at a few different places on the plant...... top middle and bottom to get an idea of the overall ripeness.
