I know this is an old ass thread but since it's already been bumped, i use my air fryer to decarb flower and I have used it to quick dry buds to sample before but its obviously a shitty way to dry.
It really depends on what you mean by bare minimum. Weed plants can survive alot of abuse and neglect
I have a clone that i did an experiment with. She was kept in my tent in a tiny pot and just neglected entirely and was completely over shaded by the larger plants. This is 54 days of flower...
Yeah. But if i chop to prevent seeds you think she will still make good smoke? Its 52 days into flower. She's not done but shes close. I am on the fence on whether i should let her finish and risk beans or chop today.
Og Kush started throwing nanners. I wanted to give her more time to finish.
If i chop now, is the potency loss going to be bad? How long can i give her without risking seeding her or my other plant?
After fully dried they will taste only slightly less nasty. It takes at least a week or two of curing to get rid of that bitter chlorophyll taste.
Cure your bud or get a migraine when you smoke. Its kinda that simple.
Another option would be to decarb the fresh undried bud at 240 for 30-45 mins and make a tiny batch of butter or oil to make an edible with.
At least then you can get an idea of potency without smoking some bitter ass weed.
