What is this white stuff on the stems? It wipes right off and is dry to the touch. Should I worry about it? How can I stop it?

I was gone for five days so I gave my girls a really good soaking. This little bastard wiggled up out of the soil. Anything to worry about? How do I get rid of them? Is this a bore worm? Should I treat all of my trees in the yard along with my girls? So many questions. Im concerned.

Nothing even close to flowering. Nearest plant is a good 80 to 100 foot away. It started flowering a month after it germinate and is only 9 weeks old. Was sold to me as a regular photo period feminized Special Queen #1 from Royal queen seeds.

By the way, I pulled one of the cinder blocks out of position and there were several Ant tunnels. So the little and I was seeing on the plant had made a nest among the roots. I got rid of the ants and the limbs stopped dieing off.
