    I earned my CIB during the initial invasion of Iraq in 03. I was with 3rd Bde 3rd Inf div. And second tour in 05 with 4/23 inf 172nd SBCT Mosul, Iraq. And also in 09 with 1/501 PIR 4/25 inf abn in Afghanistan. Too bad they are all considered the same campaign though.

    Nice to see a fellow OIF 11bang bang here. Got my CIB & Purple Heart in 07' - 08' deployment Camp Taji Iraq. 25th ID 27th inf. Reg. 2nd Bat.
    Only got 1 deployment in before an IED cut my career short. Spent the next 2 years in the wounded warriors Battalion recovering before they discharged me.

    They wasnt going to let me stay 11 series with my injuries so they gave me the option to reclass to be a desk jockey. Took a hard pass and asked for my DD214.
