Who's still using air pumps in the res? There was a lot of talk about them early on in this thread and people having great results but not seeing so much talk about it now..
So who still using them?
I eat oysters so I could get shells from there and I'm sure the fish monger shucks his oysters so I could potentially get the top shell from him not sure I'm going there on on the weekend so will ask.

Any boiling or cooking them in fire or anything like that? I saw a vid on YT where they put the OS in the fire first. So you leave then out to dry for a few days? Guess you could use an oven on low heat too? I could always go to the local fish monger and ask then for oystershell I'm not sure...

I haven't read and caught up completely in this for a while but someone here was mentioning soil mites in their SIP grow.
I've had them as well. They didn't stress the plant but I noticed them after the first couple of EM-1fills, then they were everywhere and I mean everywhere they eventually...
