Yeah that stuff does work but advanced are not the first people to use it. They are just the first people to put it into some new bottles, give it a fancy misleading name, provide a misleading product explanation, then make lots of money off of nothing. Don't get me wrong it's a smart idea...
On your price links the botanicare one is the only one that works. Also all those L- items are the amino acids. Those are just used as chelates for other minerals. If you want the best nutrients around get dynagro plus some fulvic acid and an amino acid additive. Then you have all the macro's...
I feel like a dumbass asking this because I've been growing for a while and I shouldn't be having this problem. I used to use H&G nutes and would add them starting from germination and they would grow fine. Now I've switched to Dyna Gro and can't seem to get past the seedling stage.
First...

Yeah I'm kind of going through the same thing. I took a break for a while and now I can't seem to get a plant started. They germ fine then get up out of the RW cubes but most don;t pop the shell off and the ones that do are messed up and don't last long then I pull them up to see a short brown...
Yeah nutes like that are a pain. When I first started I got turned onto house and garden nutes by my hydro shop. They had a base nute along with 6 other additives I had to buy. After reading up and looking at what was in the bottles I realized it was a bunch of hype and made to be confusing and...
Yeah that would be DynaGro it's cheap and complete. Since you're using RO water you might want to still add some cal/mag which they also sell. The only other thing they have is some silica additive but I never used it and everything was good.
Some people can't be helped. Back in the day everyone used to say add epsom salt because everything was a cal mag problem. Now after Uncle Ben pointed out that lots of blooms foods lack N everyone claims N def no matter what the plants look like. If it was an N def it would start from the bottom...
Ok let me try to answer some of your questions.
First off EC and PPM are measured in the same way and aren't totally accurate. When you measure EC the meter just runs a small current through the solution and measures the resistance. Since the nutrient solution is made up of all different...
Try DynaGro, they aren't overpriced like the others. All of those nutes will work and some better then others but most of them are a total rip off and overly complicated to make it seem like it's worth it. Advanced Nutrients being the worst of them.
