Well...instead of deciding between the two....im doing a test run in my 4x4 tent with a 315w cmh + Qb 135w v2 288 board...lets see how this combo works
...yes...very much so...most cmh fixtures work well. As long as you use phillips bulbs. Im a long time cmh grower. Let me know if you have any questions. Ive grown with both 315w cmh and 630w cmh
Heres my current run. 4 plants in same 5x5 tent under a dual bulb 630w cmh.
Strains are:
1 - PINEAPPLE CRUSH
1 - WEDDING CAKE
2 - GORILLA KILLA
Gorilla killa is not a clone. I found these from Sour seed co. Apparently its the only batch they made. Its Gorilla Glue #4 X Urkle BX2. Thc % tested...
With that run. It was a longet veg. I go back n forth between 4 plant runs then single plant runs then 4 plant run Etc. This blue dream i vegged for about 10-12 weeks. With a 20 gal soil pot. Fox farms OF and Happy frog. Perlite and worm castings. Flowered under two nanolux 315w cmh fixtures...
Im also an Oregon Rec Grower. I was just mentioning how clones of all ages and strains are available daily and most of which ive had favorable results with. Heres a Blue dream cut i just harvested a month ago :)
Just to verify i am running the dual 315w bulb hood. Ive heard running the true DE have shorter life spans as well as one burner usually burns out before the other and instead of just replacing one bulb you only to replace one
I have only tested the dual bulb version. I havent ran the true DE 630 due to limited height growing in tents currently. But the 630w has a perfect footprint for 5x5 . Im recieving one of the new QB 288 - V2 135w to test out. Will be using as supplemental at first then will be used for test on...
You wont be dissapointed with your purchase. Honestly i dont know to many people that were genuinely dissapointed....none as a matter of fact lol. I use to be an LED + HPS grower. And ignored all the cmh hype. Then i tried it. My first run failed when i realized i had my light to close and were...
Actually the cmh bulbs have been noted to produce a fairly substantial amount of UVB...Hence why some growers have even reported mild sun burns when having there skin exposed for long periods of time. The bulbs are even double jacketed to try and limit that amount of uvb. Which is why they have...
Thank you for pointing this out. Added blues trigger different hormones and reactions than UVB would trigger. Plants push out extra trichromes as a defensive mechanism when confronted with UVB. I use two phillip 315w cmh bulbs in flower. Both provides lots of uvb. On top of that. I use two 3100k...
Ive been rocking cmh for the past couple years. Quality far surpasses any other light i have grown with. Terps and overall presentation is more important than yield to me. Luckily cmh still can yield fairly substantially. Currently flowering out 4 plants under a 630w cmh. Ive posted pics from my...
