I dont see too many bridgelux eb strip threads anymore, the samsung seem to have taken over. These boards are way cheaper than quantum boards but still a bit more than eb strips which are like 215 diodes for 18 or 23 CAD somewhere around there. the heatsink are cheap too im just using c...
Are you certain the diodes are Samsung? I was thinking about ordering custom PCB boards a while back but the vendors would just say yes to everything I would ask. & then some dude on here had CV flex strips he thought were cc Cuse the vendor said so lol.
My new rooms are odd shaped and they have closets I would like to incorporate as drying rooms. In the past I would build a frame out of 2x2 insulate and use polly, add co2 and carbon filter/fan. Anyone just Polly the drywall, weatherstrip the door and run filter/fan, co2? That would be way...
I clone in clear containers with close to 100% humidity Cuse I use a heat mat. The heat mat dries out plugs or cubes within 24 hours so I need to drench cubes Dailey until roots show. In my experience if the medium dries to a dry spunge and no roots there gonna wilt. 70-80 is probably better...
Was there just a QB drop? Shit I need more. Any 2700k boards? I just wired up a slate 5 setup I got back in June. Never ran a led setup before & my driver's are not in the room but these generate almost no heat with a slate 5.
Do your driver's get really hot too? Mine are so hot I'm considering some kind of insulation for them. I would put a cooling fan on em if it extends the lifespan but there not in my room, im worried about a fire. Also, the wires were tinned on the driver but I had to shorten them for the rohs...
I wired up 4 boards & 2 hlg 240 1050b's with no potentiometer. The slate 5 was cool to the touch but the drivers were too hot to touch. I had them on hardwood & thought they would leave a black mark so I shut em off & am wiring a 50k potentiometer to them today.
Is it okay to have 2 14 gauge...
Hey, do you think corrugated plastic with the seams siliconed will be enough to keep co2 from escaping or would the room need to be drywalled then seams siliconed?
Hey, why do we run solid core wire from board to board/ driver? The guy at the electronic store said there's more voltage drop with solid core wire & I'm running my driver's outside my room so possibly 20, 25ft runs.
