I was going to build a scrog screen for each table... So if I do 2 2x5 tables, each one would have it's own scrog screen, so the whole root zone chamber and scrog screen are secured together...
No point in making my veg room smaller as I can't give the extra space to the flower room... These are 2 freestanding rooms I am building in the basement.
Hey fella's,
I have the new found freedom to build actual grow rooms and I've begun to design the framework of the rooms but I'm still trying to decide on which growing method would be best to utilize the space. I'm building two identical rooms to veg and flower in.
Here is what I'm...
I see what you mean, but I've had great results in soil over the past couple months when my DWC attempts failed. I have 2 northern lights blue and 1 serious seeds white russian going in soil right now and they're looking and smelling fantastic after only 3wks flowering under 400w hps.
If I...
I'm really looking for some advice here so please read the whole post before you vote or comment.
I've been having trouble with growing in DWC for a good 8mo now. Every time I make an attempt at it either the rapid rooter plug gets too wet or I have pathogen problems, plus the damn containers...
Thanks!!
It does flake off and I got the shit for Plastic, too... Nothing likes to stick to PE plastics. It's been like 24hrs since they've been put in to their new home and so far nothing has changed. I'm running a mix of tap/RO water with an initial PPM of 250 and I put in another 250ppm of...
Wal-Mart has the shit for like $2.50/lb bag
I wrapped my (clear) totes in insulation tape. There were very small gaps between the tape apparently... But the worst of the light infiltration seemed to be around the edges of the lids and around the net pots. I put the new (not clear and spray...
I'd probably have the same luck w/o the light leaks! New totes going in today.
Lots of snake oils, indeed... But one that does work is Dutch Master Zone.
Oh ya, I know the ones you are talking about, I looked at them but they were too small to fit properly in the cut out on my table. Plus, I didn't like the checkered lids.
I saw another tote that was really sturdy and actually had a hinged lid, very cool.
With the new totes, I should have it all taken care of.
So good advice to anyone that reads this, don't get the totes with the rolled lip, get the ones with the square lip, like the roughneck design.
I'll pass on the bennies. After fixing up my light leaks the other night I've had a revival of new root growth. The misters work really well, so I think I'll keep those. My entire problem stemmed from light leaks which I was unaware of; thought I had that taken care of a long time ago. I'm...
Every DWC attempt this year has failed because of these damn totes I'm using and my overall setup. Was wondering why this recent batch weren't growing worth a shit, come to find out that I had an assload of light leakage all around the net pots and the tote itself.
I'm going to be much more...
Word. I'm ditching the DWC now anyway and sticking the plants in to soil. Will pick the hydro back up in a few short months when I move out of this place and in to a more permanent situation.
