Letting soil fully dry during flowering.

Yes, you probably have decent size pot that can retain moisture long enough. Againts fungus gnats it's often enough that the top of the soil dries few inches, so the larvae/eggs dry up, since the gnats lay them in the top soil.

Letting soil fully dry during flowering.

There is research about controlled droughting that suggests it can increase the THC in certain conditions. But usually if the plant is drooping already and has to go period of time without water/nutrients, it can certainly focus on getting some seeds ready instead of producing alot of seeds. Or...

First Grow, what am I doing wrong?

Watering 5gallon pots every 2-3days, even tho fabric and depending on how compacted the soil is, might be overdoing it. Especially considering the plants probably don't have full on root systems all over the pot. Yet. The droopiness might be because of the excess moisture/lack of oxygen in root...

    Cob vs Strips

Good points. Built my DIY strip lights in the way that few outermost strips are little more closely mounted. Just to compensate the middle part a tad.

    No clue what's going on

Ok, seems like the light is more likely then. What threw me off the scent was the one with the main cola looking better than those I thought we're lower plants. Yea, they'll be fine. Just some damage to the very top colas. Little more undeveloped roots/little more light than the other, could...

    No clue what's going on

What medium did you have? But looks like micronutrient deficiency, because it's the newer growth that's affected and it's starting from start of the leaves instead of tips. Iron, manganese deficiencies could look something like that. So check your pH's that you aren't over 7. I reckon it's not...

What seems to be the problem?

Can't quite put my finger on it. Enviroment seems good and overall condition too. From the photos, I'd say the symptom seems to be on bigger older leaves and it's pulling some nutrient out of it. This would suggest one of the mobile nutes. But doesn't really look like typical NPK or Mg/Ca...

Bud tops still growing, lower bud finishing!

What was the reasoning behind dropping the Si in flower? I had left myself under the impression that trichomes have plenty of Si in them and would end up rather brittle if no Si was present? On the topic, most have already diagnosed it probably right. Flowered my mother plant this season and...

    Cob vs Strips

I'd say biggest difference is the light distribution. Yeah, COBs have alot more W/cm2 so they need more cooling. With strips passive cooling is the way and depending how soft you run them you could get away with barely the strip's own aluminium.

    Spider Farmer Light Failing

Yes, they definatly should take care of it. If you'd be confident fixing that, you could ask for a giftcard or w/e. If not, just let them swap/fix that for you.

What led strips to consider in 2024?

You'd be right too. And the balance of the strips could shift due the different diode resistance, different level of heatsinking etc. But it won't go in thermal runaway because the driver controls the amount of current that comes out. And as in my post it says the thermal runaway only comes into...

What led strips to consider in 2024?

Yes, you would. The power supply won't give them more current that has been set. This is why it's called constant current. Though adjustable, but constant.

What led strips to consider in 2024?

"It all starts with the profile of silicon. The electrical resistance of silicon increases with temperature up to about 160 Celsius, then starts decreasing. When resistance decreases, it allows more current to enter through the overheated areas, in turn causing yet more compounding heat...

What led strips to consider in 2024?

Yes. And if you'd use 2 parallel circuits with equal amount of resistance, the current would be equal. If the resistances are different then the currents would be different too. You could measure the diode resistance with typical multimeter which has diode function on it. This way you could...

What led strips to consider in 2024?

Ye, 100k ohms, though the 1-10v and pwm's are just as good. And same for the brands really, go by what's available and in good price. They all do they same job. When I bought mine at led-tech.de they had 3d printed casings and a knob for the component, so it ended up as very neat looking and...
