i would like hydro as thru reading around hydro has the best growth rate, hence the reason to the homemade set up.. the soil and set up was kinda necessary as the proper hydro equipment is pretty rare.. and space is quite limited.. i chose to build this as its cheap, easy to get and fits my grow...

I see.. i did add a bit of gravel (its what i could find) and charcoal to the mix when i planted the sprout in..

as for the container, i wrap it in foil for must part of the time, unless i'm cleaning out or changing the water.. it has drain holes at the bottom.. in fact there are roots starting to show thru the holes at the bottom too..

even if i'm using a hydro/soil hybrid grow? Sadly i have no source for Perlite in my country.. any substitutes?

Thanks QuarksRSmall.. FYI I haven't fed any nutrients so far and just keeping it at RO watering when it needs.. i dont spray my seedling tho because i figured the climate in my place has pretty high humidity (Tropical Climate). Is there anything i should keep in mind?
