That's it man I'm the same two kids busy life but the wife is dead now so sometimes it's really full on when you're by yourself. I think I'll try the living soil it's the one thing I've been meaning to try. I have had thrip issues and my share of gnats but I suppose I'll add diatomaceous Earth...
That sounds brilliant. I was actually thinking, apart from having to raise the lights, I could technically put a few plants in living soil in autopots and hook the res to the mains water with a float valve and never have to go in. Electric light lifters operated through WiFi would eliminate the...
Thanks for those links, I've often changed the res and thought the plants looked better before. I stopped doing it weekly and just biweekly. But regardless I need something so hands off I can leave for a week or 2 at a time. Like an external res with a float valve connected to the mains water...
I was actually looking into ecothrive living soil. It comes already mixed, you just water. After the grow you can re amend with other stuff they have. I'm always skeptical about that kinda thing. I thought about mixing my own soil but it seems daunting since I don't know how much and of what to...
Life gets busy and I'm always trying to find the most hands of technique with the least amount of clean up after each run. Does anyone have a technique that doesn't involve dumping coco or soil or hundreds of litres of nutrient. Something that is sustainable and doesn't require daily checks...
I did Google search but I don't know what the hell I'm looking at. Can I put a mould in them, would it heat through the mould. Is there specific presses for hash or for making rosin just looking for someone with experience in making them to give advice
Can anyone point me in the direction of how to make traditional brown hash bars. I collect a lot of kief and it's very nice smoke but when I heat a small bit and make it into a temple ball it's even more enjoyable. So I have a mold but is there a pressure machine that can heat it enough to make...
I have the alien rdwc 4x36 litre pot system and I was thinking of turning the 4 pots into 16 pots using a lid with 4 holes in each in a 4x4 tent. The problem I currently have is having to veg for a while before flowering and then if one plant is a runt then that's 25% of your tent gone. Has...
Unicorn piss in a bottle . Here here I'll do exactly that. The way they talk to you like this is miracle stuff you don't understand. I know they have the synthetic chelates EDTA DTPA and EDDHA which keeps things such as iron etc available in a wide pH range but that doesn't mean every macro and...
Yes my most disastrous leaks was from the older system that didn't have the gromits in each tray. You move those trays just a little and valve becomes loose. Upgraded to the new trays and never had leaks like that since. So make sure you get the modern trays with the hole. I still had issues...
Well the rhino skin I use is potassium silicate. I usually pre mix everything in a tank and add air stones, the air always causes pH to rise. The source water is just regular tap pH 6.5 and ec .4 it's fairly good. I just don't get it. You're supposed to pH to 5.8-6.3 but they tell me not to
Advanced nutrients claim pH perfect technology. I'm using it in rDWC currently and the pH is 7.5!! I contacted advanced nutrients and they say that their nutrient is available between 4-8ph and not to pH the solution. Should I believe this? The plants are fine it's confusing.
Used them for a couple of years they are great but I did have disastrous leaks a few times. The valve can get stuck or the little hole that the nutrients comes true can get gunked up and prevent it from closing resulting in a leak but also can result in the opposite and not let any nutrient...
The current rdwc I have running have 2" piping I have no experience with other sizes but seems to work great. I think I'll stick to 9 gallons it seems to be truth bigger is better. Res doesn't need to be changed as often and pH and temperature of the water seems to remain more stable
