If you want to have a closer date to finish projected, start counting from the day you see tiny flowers developing. My SLH was 81 days in 12/12 I have some OG#18 (4) that have been in for 82 days and are ROCKIN . They are so close but not finished. The longer you wait for them to finish, the more weight, potency, flavor they put on. Trichs will not turn until ready and you can tell when that is when you see the buds calyxs (bracts) swell. Once it starts to swell it will just pop and swell everywhere in a few days.

It's very normal for the SLH to take 10-17 days to start flowering. Just remember those are lost days. Don't count them. Your slh needs 70 days of flowering time.

Wit until the seed pops up and gets say 5-6 nodes high, then take off the very bottom node (it's always weak and a slow grower) then top down so there are 4 branches (2 nodes) after 1-2 weeks they will be even and you will have 4 tops. Then you want to fim all 4 tops, wait 2 weeks and fim all tops again.

For a fat plant with many tops the best method I have found is FIM. I was fiming when the plant reached 6-8" high then I would wait 2 weeks and fim again. Now I am doing a 4 top method (from seed) then I apply the fim method on the 4 tops once they get even and moving up. That is the best method I have found and I have tried them all.
Also you want your plants to have a great veg. So from seed wait until they mature then give them 2 more weeks.
