My votes with DIY quantum boards. Cheaper than buying a unit. They make the same one the HLG 550 V2 over on Alibaba or their 800Plus or standard 800 boards. I requested a third board and they stated it would be a bit more, but that would make it a 590W board that was at 2.8 umoles/J.
do you recommend any light? been looking at the hlg 550 for my 4x4 or DIY?

Sorry for writing here, but your topics look really hi-end, i just bought plenty of chineese epistar bridgelux COBs. Are they really so terrible? Are they less efficient than HPS?
