I just got my inda gro vpar today.

What's the recommended distance from bulb? To bad they have that gap on sides. Love that spectrum!!!

The surface of the glass will get up to 200F so I would recommend keeping the plants at least 6" away from the lamp. If you put the back of your hand next to the lamp and move out 6" away the heat is pretty much undetectable.

The side panels are 6" wide and allow for 300 degree distribution. In the horizontal orientation you would not want light hitting the floor and ceiling anyway but in the vertical installation. The purpose for the side panels is to protect the lamp and to provide support for the electromagnets that would weigh down against the fused glass sections that are underneath both electromagnets. On these smaller gardens when using the VPAR I'm thinking if you were able to rotate the plants just a few inches on a regular cycle every few days you ultimately expose larger areas to light coming from the VPAR. Without rotating the plants you should see a classic SAS response whereby the leaves on the opposite side of the plant which do not get direct VPAR light will orient their position to capture available light.

Wow, that is legit. For some reason i thought it had a stand instead of hanging from the ceiling... definetely having thoughts of that back to back on a light mover ( assuming it could tak the weight), would be pretty epic imo. Not a cheap way to go for sidelighting but we can dream lol

whodats vertical 600 grow uses lazy suzans. Or he calls them hazy suzans. I just plan on rotating every day. I'm going to throw in some more lights for up above shortly.

No recommended coverage really. I see about a 4x4 coverage like the regular 420's but on each side

Yeah I like the sideways way I have it now. Great for center lighting. on the sides woiuld be a waste. Have 3 or 4 creating a wall of light. Or one down the center with 2 up above similar to Kite High's cmh / hps grow. Me and Greengenes talked about using a circular light mover to make it cover 360 dgrees. Those are soooo pricey., I don't want to do a diy mover. I looked into that. i talked to Jeff at IG about using a mover too. he seemed to like the idea.

If anyone wants a cheap way to automate plant rotation the motor out of a microwave makes about one revolution a minute. They are pretty much built for the task.

i got 8 pots 7 gals. reread the rols thread. you have as many pots as you start with. It doesn't make more. You won't be sleeping when I do an update. yeah I one upped you this time. you'll see.

They don't realize how much black gold ie bommy dirt and humus they are sitting on. 70 acres.....They could make so much loot off that dirt. That's real Alaskan humus lol

day 17 and been in 13/11 for a few days. I watered with a seed sprout tea last nigh and gave 2 cbk, 1 nlxog#3, a nlxog#2 and a cheese og esc treatment.

They don't realize how much black gold ie bommy dirt and humus they are sitting on. 70 acres.....They could make so much loot off that dirt. That's real Alaskan humus lol
