you don't have to give a fuck about anything - not even your own mother. You can try refuting my points if you're capable, if not I understand you must stick to posting gay porn, bullshit music and illiterate insults...
Well, that just about sums me up, aye? Stereotypically one might say. Refute what points exactly? The fact that you're an insensitive, ignorant, hateful, sad little person? Refutation not necessary.

Also, a better stat to use is that % of GDP per capita. Nz and aus are small population strong economy countries with very few minorities to drain the economy. Racist but true.

If you're gonna flip burger or work at wallmart cool, just don't expect some exorbitant pay for a job teenagers can do.
we agree.

some righties feel that $10.10 an hour indexed to cost of living is gonna be the end of the world though.

80% of americans support it though.

I've already spoken about my support for minimum wage laws, especially those that reflect age. The fact is though, people don't want it enough in the US or it would be a federal law.

I know for a fact it doesn't raise the price of consumer good to a ridiculous level. But entry level jobs are just that. Entry level. I didn't expect good money in my first full time job, I actually got paid around $12.50 - with no possibility of overtime - contractual stipulation, due to the fact you cannot charge a trainees hours as billable to a contracted client.

That sucked, as the year went on I looked for a new job and found one - paying just under double $22 and it also allowed me to complete the traineeship.

If you're gonna flip burger or work at wallmart cool, just don't expect some exorbitant pay for a job teenagers can do.

Furthermore, the corporations are abiding by the rules in place, regardless of right/left the representatives you elect are lining their pockets with all the donations and kickbacks from these same corps. It doesn't affect them so why would they care?
Ok, I understand the humility if a first job and I think in a way it could build character to work for pringles. But, the people on the bottom work harder than anyone. They earn their money just like you, another day.....another fuckin dollar. You deserve to have a living wage.

the US has the highest business taxes on the planet.
that's true, but it's also true that US businesses pay some of the lowest taxes on the planet.

doesn't mean a thing to have high taxes and pay low taxes. that's just a talking point designed to appeal to low information, knee jerk reactionary, free market utopia buffoons.

and here you are aping that load of tripe.

There in no such thing as illiterate insults......you would have to read them to know they were

and despite right wing brainwashed utopian communal delusions, there will always be people at the bottom. not everyone can bootstrap up even if they try their hardest and wish on reagan fairy dust.

which is why that point is moot and not even worth addressing, the issue we are addressing is how we will treat those working poor at the bottom.

some people, like bignbushy, try to delude themselves into thinking that the bottom is a delusion, that no one they know works for that little thus no one really earns that little.

and none of them dare bother to actually run numbers or learn from actual, concrete, real world examples.

it's sad and pathetic that people are so averse to simple facts.

facts and evidence are anathema to the right.

I never said I didn't agree, it should probably be higher and age appropriate. Minimum wage for under 18 or 21 year old doesn't need to be as high as someone in their 30s/40s for obvious reasons.

But, I object when you have someone that has earned minimum wage all their lives but have not bothered to up-skill, diversify or re-educate - that isn't something raising minimum wage will fix. There are plenty of options, including college courses by correspondence, which I did while working full time to get my degree - because quite frankly who would settle for minimum wage?

Facts cant be racist.
that's correct, facts are facts.

race being mostly a social construct nowadays, the racism gets added by the person making sense of the facts.

in other words, facts aren't racist. you are.

but at least you admit it. case closed, no need to sidetrack things like sketchy etchy does.

They may be able to hire a load of accountants and lawyers and avoid some taxation, but one also has to consider the cost of avoidance (lawyers and accountants don't work for minimum wage) and then the cost of compliance for the taxes they do pay.

Just because there is a loophole doesn't make it a free ride.
