no one even gets minimum wage, you don't need money to start a business, min wage will cause prices to soar, everyyone can bootstrap themselves up and yet the burgers will somehow flip themselves still...

goddamn. the right has no logical rebuttal to raising the minimum wage to a livable rate. not a single goddamn one.

imagine that.

the facts support me and not you.

it's almost as if all you have is theory, talking points, and rhetoric, whereas i am robust with empirical evidence.

that sucks, doesn't it?

yeah, some of them are subsidized, but this is the cost of living increase you are complaining about. unless, of course, you eat an inordinate amount of copper.
at the store across the street from me (a discount grocery, no less!) :

1 dozen eggs: $2.50
gallon milk $3.99
bananas .99/lb
coffee $4 /lb or a 22oz can of the really cheap shit for $5.99

coffee is the ONLY product in your carefully managed selections to not have a subsidy, and the prices are highly dubious

nobody is getting bananas at 60 cent a pound and the dozen eggs price is hilarious.

print that shit out and hit any store. youll need double coupons and a managers special to get those prices in calif.

So is that a no, you would not support it?
i dont support weak useless laws, nor ones designed to target specific groups for good or ill.

EQUAL justice under the law, the laws should be equal for all businesses and person, whether large and rich, or small and broke.

so that is a NO on your proposal.

California is crazy like that. Our "mountain" store has this thing where if you shop there long enough, earn points, you can use said points for up to a 20% discount on you're whole cart. Helps during the holidays.

EDIT: Nutes and Nugs apporves of my store's policy. Yay!

take it up with the BLS.

just because you frequent the "liquor and grocery" next to the massage parlor doesn't invalidate their numbers in any way.

even if we grant your $0.50 discrepancies, the numbers won't change either. min wage went up way, way more than prices.

min wage does NOT cause prices to soar, or a big mac in australia would cost double what it does.

So your'e saying every business needs start up money and no brains?
no, that is not what i said.

what i said was something along the lines of 'you are a deluded, brainwashed mofo if you think you can start a business without capital, much less ANY business'.

here is yet another delusion the right clings to in the min wage argument.
How is me not knowing of one single person who makes that specific wage a delusion? I'm sure there are some that do. Of people I've talked to that have made it in the past, it was only temporary. After 30/60/90, or however many days, the place either let folks go or gave them a raise. Sears actually did that to me with a job I had in college. But that job also offered commission.

California is crazy like health care costs.
How can they justify these costs?
They can't.

Size of 1988 Big Mac: 12 OZ
Size of 2013 Big Mac: 8 OZ
http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/eats/big-mac-burp-turns-40-article-1.237255

And the price of a Big Mac is $4.20 on average.

http://money.msn.com/now/post.aspx?post=0437121f-16b6-4818-8c0d-a7899f23338c

Making the size 50% smaller, while charging 76% more ( I , unlike bucky actually know how to do percentages)

PS Buck, if you understood percentages, your point would be even better, but since you are a multi demonstrable mathematical dunce it got lost and doesn't look too good.:dunce::dunce: Sorry.
man, i didnt realize they made it so much smaller.

fuck i thought my hands was just getting bigger.

You would change your mind in 48 hours with my income I guarantee.....milk would be a huge issue still, what about a cavity? You talk big and cheap and "schlep around cash" more than anyone. What would you do? You would refuse disability? Would you pay somehow no matter what?

Then how did businesses start?
It's not money jackhole.
It's what's in the head.

claim is entirely unsubstantiated.

from the article:*McDonald's insists the size (about a half-pound) and contents of a Big Mac (adding up to 540 calories and 29 grams of fat) have remained the same since 1967.

don't call your corporate overlords liars now.

notice how we all go back to discussing the topic OP brought up once sketchy etchy leaves (even if it is peppered with our usual feisty language)?

that is all.
