Hear Ye- Hear Ye LED Tubes + HH Spray 2.0 + BrandX Seeds

I learned so much from my first go-round using the Hydro Halo Spray system, that I am calling this grow HH 2.0

I am sticking with BrandX seeds. The WHx has been getting rave reviews from ladies saying it makes them less inhibited, which means the guys are getting more kinky sex:hump: True story

Sadly, only 2/5 G13s have popped (foreground). I am still trying to coax the others (clear egg case in back). Poor germ result is due to seeds accidentally going through wash/dry, so I am happy to have 2. Now, if only one is a male

All 5 of the second gen WHx popped within 48 hours- they are in the back (see photo)

The seedlings temporary home consists of a Rubbermaid Rubberneck tote inside a larger tote which is being used to position the light bar as well as keep maximum light on the plants.

I am using one 7w Feit NW led + one Philips RP 12w WW led. The warm white helps with root development. Once the 2 WH clones finish I will move seedlings under the led tubes.

A couple 600 x 600 (2 x 2) @ 45w ~ 4500 lumens flat panels could be here in a couple weeks. Also hoping for a LED fixture surprise soon. If I told you what it is, I'd have to kill you:evil:

I am using a dual air pump/airstones, which is barely enough. I was expecting the 2 clones to be finished by now, but they are still producing trics, so not yet able to use my 4 stone 35L/M pump... I may run out and buy another pump ASAP

So 100 lumens/per watt for those flat panels....what diodes are they using there...few more details please... :)

COB? Engine? Heatsink? Remote drivers? Lens material?

Not a whole lot of 411 available yet. I ask but they no halbo de engis so good. Their replies are humorous

3014s, which I am told are more efficient, plus disperse heat better than other common diode options

As I understand it, the entire back is a heat sink, much like my led tubes. Total thickness is ~ 12mm, which would gain me ~ 6", which I can really use in my 5ft tent

Yes remote drivers. I can't even get an answer regarding piggybacking one driver/2 panels, though I am confident that can be easily done

Remember these? I posted in your other thread a while back...those are 3014's....33 of them in a 600mm LED T5....not a bad light

I thought you said that 'COB's are the future'...i guess you want to keep that way for a while huh...hehe.. :)

So you are going ahead with the purchase even though you dont know much about them....? Do you know how many 3014's are on a panel at least?

I will be watching this, how does the light spread look over your space, I have a warm and cool sort of in the same arrangement. It looks pretty defused which would be good. The panels you are getting look really cool, I just never thought you could maintain 100l/w with light guide plate.

Yes, COBs are the future, but tightly packed 3014s should be very close for our purposes. In fact COBs may well be tightly packed small watt diodes, and yes I am moving forward on faith, just as I did when I invested in the tubes and fixtures

How many diodes depends on panel size. I think the ~ 2 x2 panels use 200 diodes Here's a link

Fair enough on the COB's.... there seems to be plenty of people advancing that particular tech at the moment anyway... :)

More like 67-75 lumens per watt according to their specs....

Dimmable by remote control is quite a cool little feature.... :)

Any idea on price?

Yes WW have fewer lumens, but there are other companies making them

Price depends on quantity. Some have a 100 piece minimum ~ $75 per 2 x 2 panel + drivers + shipping, though some offer free shipping with that quantity. Obviously way more than I need, but my partner and I are looking to retrofit offices/businesses using his dental lab as the model

With a partner with a dental lab...You must have great teeth behind that green fur..... :-P

I so wish I was there to watch this take place! Maybe you could see if they offer special high power output drivers that are a lot more efficient then a bunch of little ones, unless you want the individual control per two modules. If you specify the PWM drivers they might be able to be digitally controlled in intensity, then you could have them all link up to a control computer with software taking heaps of data points like temp and pH and factor it all into the lighting!

I think I'm just to excited lol

ill be watching this pf, great work, as always.
Sounds like you're subbed to me :eyesmoke: It's taking me a bit to lean the lingo but I'll get there,

I just hit some "Karma Wreck" sativa got me pretty good, its really frosty and smells like lemons.

Holy Shit- LED Wholesalers is selling 2 x 2 panels @ $200 per.

If you want to try some, it will take a bit (ordering samples today), but I suspect we can sell them ~ $125 + shipping. My suggestion is to wait until I have something to report, but hey, I'm going in blind, so, why not?

I will put 2 panels overhead filling 2 x 4 top then thinking to reposition the 2 @ 2 bulb 4ft fixtures aiming down from maybe 10" below the panels on each long side side

After trying every germ method, I settled on one that provides max success:

Keep in mind I grow Hydro... I drop seeds into small jar of RO water + a FEW grains of sea salt (for the minerals). I change out some of the water daily. Usually all taps show within 48 hours. I then drain into a sieve; with starter cubes (cut in half) presoaked, I use tweezers to CAREFULLY place the seeds WITH TAP DOWN. These I place into a plastic egg crate. I hand water using an eye dropper, or meat baster, until roots exit the bottom (I also LIGHTLY spray the leafs). I then transfer to small net cups, add enough hydroton/small stones... to support the stalk. These get transferred into a small DIY bubbler. Once the roots develop I transfer to ~ 4" net cups then into 6" net pot lids that fit over the buckets, or 4 liter Air Pots

Note clear egg crate at back of photo with 3 starter cubes- these did not make it after going through my washer and dryer, but the 2 closet to the front did. Note the 6" net pot lid

I came across these online the other day, but now i cant find them again! where'd ya find em chron?
I am currently using these for: Basil, Coriander and Mesculn. (5500-6500k) They will be average at flowering Cannabis unless you bombard them with light in a 'strip led' situation...thatz what i think anyway.

https://www.rollitup.org/led-other-lighting/567470-chronikoolz-stripped-lite-peep-show.html <<<<< these are 5050's. The 3014's are more efficient power/light wise. But in close quarters and enough diodes....the plants wont have a chance... :D

Right...enough self promotion... :-P They were on Ali-express.

Just moved babies into the tube tent.

The 2 on the far left (one on each row) are the G13s

Tomorrow I will figure out how to rig the Floom set up

Roots had already grown into the nutes, so I trimmed them back to force more roots near the base

Currently under 1 NW + 3 WW tubes
